Potentially links to cancer as well, and a well documented cause of moderate to severe allergic reactions. The latter I'm abundantly familiar with as I had a very severe allergy to an older Red food dye that was previously banned, and eating processed foods/candies when I was younger was like playing freaking Russian roulette. I'd eat a slice of birthday cake and then 30 minutes later my eyes would be swollen shut.
