Gaza Herald – A Palestinian prisoners’ monitoring group says Israel is currently detaining 275 Palestinian children, aged 14 to 17, in its military prisons, many without due process and others handed harsh sentences under a system rights advocates describe as fundamentally abusive.

According to the Prisoners’ Media Office (ASRA), these children are prosecuted under Israeli military law, a framework run by soldiers rather than civilian courts, enabling the mass imprisonment of Palestinian minors without fair trial guarantees or legal protections.

Human rights organizations say the practice forms part of Israel’s broader genocidal apparatus targeting Palestinian society, and have renewed calls for an immediate end to the military prosecution of children and the release of all minors held under Israel’s detention regime.
