Spotted this afternoon in busy city center where parking can be difficult. To make it even better, there was a NN Fire Department vehicle who actually parked in a proper spot.
Only reason I know this is because I have an in-law whoâs a vbpd and made a joke about the sheriffs being his boss. Michigan has sheriffs as the county cops and police as city. Here in Hampton roads the sheriffs are those that couldnât make it through police academy and are practicing to retry. The sheriffs here are responsible for the jails and court houses âpolicingâ and when you see summons, requests for things or other miscellaneous things like divorce paperwork that has to be delivered by a sworn officer it is the sheriff department that usually does those. So they could be there issuing paperwork to someone that works there. It also probably parked because they are douches who couldnât pass the police academy entrance exam.
NNPD can't do shit right. I saw EIGHT cop cars at a traffic stop the other day. It takes 8 of you assholes to pull over a 98 Toyota Corolla? Fuckin figure it out man.
Just playing devilâs advocate here - Do you know why the car was pulled over? Could it have been for a dude that was wanted for homicide or other violent felonies? Was that car involved in a recent violent crime where a weapon was used? Did the guy fight when he got stopped, or did he have a history of attacking police? All would be valid reasons to have multiple officers on scene.
No idea. Agreed it could be a multitude of reasons. All but the one officer, who was interacting with the driver (seated in his driver seat), were holding their vests at the clavicle, not looking at the scene or surveilling the area, just chatting. I rolled my window down and said "why's it take 8 of you guys" and was promptly told to fuck off, lol. I was on my way to the Wawa on Jefferson and Harpesville and saw 7 cars leaving as I was pumping, towards the station. When I left I backtracked to where the dude was pulled over, the final cop was leaving and the Corolla was on his way as well. Them jokers weren't doing nothing but being nosy and intimidating.
Well calll 911, obv. Or is that a waste of time? Much like pointing this out and whining about it. How bout calling out people that park in handicapped spots that aren't documented to do so?
Illegal parking is not an emergency and does not constitute use of 911/emergency services. Whether it's handicap parking or a sheriff deputy parked in a loading zone, it's what the non emergency lines most police/sheriff departments have is for.
Either you forgot the /s or you missed the point of my reply. Sarcasm isn't conveyed well over the internet, and if your comment wasn't sarcasm then my reply is as it is.
Did I forget the /s? Do you truly think someone would suggest calling 911 about how a sheriff is parked and its not sarcasm? And I'm not submissive. So no "/s"
"Rules for thee, not me "
That's a Sheriff's office vehicle not an NNPD vehicle. Different departments with different functions/responsibilities. But your point still stands.
Lol guess I cant read either đ
6 in one hand, half dozen in the other.... as they say.
They're all đđđ

if this isn't for an emergency, according to the internet you can call the police stations non emergency number and report this
Sure, but considering how things are often âhandledâ internally in most police departments, youâd be wasting your breath.
this is true. but you never know. and those resources exist for a reason
They do exist for a reason. I just think that reason is for show more than any practical use.
At first I thought this was satire since this car is clearly labeled sheriff, which would require accurate reading to note.
Are you sure you canât read either đ that says sheriffâs office not police
Well they are cops
How dare you-he has a very important civil summons to issue! /s
Thatâs not NNPD, so they arenât the only ones who canât read.
Oh they can read, they just dont care.

Welcome to Newport News. Some rules apply
Itâs a loading zone, is it possible they were loading or unloading something to or from a building there?
Maybe he's loading up on coffee and donuts. Or maybe he already loaded up and has to unload?
I mean if there there on a call of some sorts ... Otherwise. Meh
Your life is missing something. This is an embarrassing post.
Youre right, gosh how did i not notice before đȘđȘđȘ
