Why are some posts which look slightly green, pink or any other colour when you click on them on the web version? At first, I thought it was because an award was given to the OP, but I think it is not the case.

Being able to have new comments highlighted as a feature of Reddit premium, but I can see from your profile that you don't have premium, there would be a little red shield icon present if you did.
This may have to do with your web browser and any plug-ins or extensions that you have installed since those can alter the way that various websites look.

Are these different subreddits? Subreddits can set a theme on desktop which can include colors
Yes, they are. But sometimes specific posts inside the same sub have that colour and others not (or idk if that can’t happen and I’m just crazy).
I'm not sure you can change them for individual posts.
