As someone who is neurodivergent, I've developed a special interest in the Emergency Alert System and have often wondered what makes it so fascinating. For many, there's an intriguing or even creepy aspect to it that can be appealing. While not everyone who creates or enjoys this content is neurodivergent, I find myself curious about why it resonates so strongly for some of us.
For me it’s the thought that it signals doomsday if it ever gets used in anger.
I have a morbid fixation on how little time humanity has left to save itself and my current depression is centred around the failure to save the earth/civilisation happening in my daughter’s lifetime.
The EAS is just the harbinger of the end.
