Hello, my family will visit me after 4 months, so im booking some things in advance. However I would like some support on transportation/car rental. I'm looking for a good car rental option so that I can rent a car for a month or maybe less if one month is very expensive.
I was looking for something between 300~400 as as a total, but apparently that's not possible đ
They will visit sometime in April/May. We mainly need it to visit far cities: Giethoorn, maastricht, etc.. and also get out of the netherlands for some days
Thanks
Why donât you use a service that you can rent a car the moment you need it? Like green wheels
THIS! Free2move, MyWheels, SixtyShare... way cheaper. Free2move you dont pay gas nor parking. You do need to have an European drivers licence tho.
Depends on your needs if itâs âway cheaperâ can generally get a rental car with unlimited km for 35⏠a day. Which is like two 1hr rentals on mywheels.
That will get you probably one week of car rental max
3-400 is lower than the monthly cost of driving a car in the NL. Several options depending on the kind of distances you want to cover: Snappcar Public transport Swapfiets OV fiets (two per card)
So uh, why donât you tell us some more about what your plans are so we can think with you.
If you could rent cars for 10 euros a day, nobody would ever buy or lease a car. No chance youâll find anything close to this price point. Finding something for under 1000 for the month is already going to be very hard.
You can get a Toyota Aygo with max 3000 km from Hertz for ~âŹ1000 (If you're willing to deal with Hertz)
Swapfiets!
Sunny Cars ! reliable, fair prices, outstanding service https://www.sunnycars.nl/en/
You're looking to rent a car for âŹ10~14/day.
That's completely unrealistic.
You could try to buy a cheap car (under 1000, maybe even under 800) and sell it after month. Maybe sell even cheaper, for like 600-400. You will still be in your budget and have a car for a month. (please do keep in mind that most cars at that pricerange aren't the best and might break down)
Not if youâre not a resident.
