Despite being quite small in terms of linear size among Tyrannosaurids (at least the described material that is), Lythronax had quite a robustly built morphology. With general built of the skull being akin to that of Tyrannosaurini clade, which considered to be most powerfully built among even Tyrannosaurids. It does raise question on what pressures caused such convergence among different Tyrannosaurid clades, especially for a taxon that has existed near the time of the clade’s radiation. And its potential prey items weren’t particularly robust or large compared to similar prey Dinosaurian’s that lived with other later Tyrannosaurids, e.g. Albertosaurines , Dapsletosaurus and etc.
The gore king vs the horn faced devil
Why does he not simply run into the water? It's toxic to theropods, according to old paleoart.
