Moose and reindeer can be seen from a distance. Mountain hare and red foxes walk by when i'm asleep. Ptarmigans roost on the nearby trees. Crows, ravens and magpies eat my leftovers. I have shrews, mice, lemmings and stoats living under my cabin. Also, while i haven't seen one, i have had wolverine tracks near my cabin, and there was atleast 2 times when a brown bear had woken up to eat the leftovers after we were finished butchering a reindeer
I'm beyond jealous. If I won the lottery I'd move in as your next door neighbor, 30 miles away π

Wow that is a lot of wildlife to see. I have never seen a wolverine.

Your pic is a very nice catch. As an exploration geologist in norther QuΓ©bec (1980-1990), I encountered wild life at many occasions. Lots of times they are way more visible in the fall and winter.
