Hey, I’ve been natural all my life type 4 hair super thick. this past year I have had really bad wrist and hand pain to the point where I am unable to use my hands or even move my fingers If I overwork them. The pain comes from doing things like typing. I’ve been trying to find styles that don’t take a quick and easy since intricate/repetitive/take a long time styles because they tend to cause pain. It’s like my hands have a timer of how much they can do. If you have any suggestions or have dealt with the same thing I’d love some style inspo/advice.
picture is from 5 months ago. I’m not open to cutting my hair or straightening it regularly. I don’t have the funds to get knotless braids/faux locs/etc done regularly and even if I did I wouldn’t want to. I’m not a wig or sew in gal though I like a headband wig on occasion.

Can you do like two big twists on the sides and then tuck the ends into a low bun? You can part on the side or middle to change it up.
I’ll try, my flat twisting needs practice
Chunky braids > braidout > half up/half down > buns (high, low, puffs) > curly pony
Sometimes I do bigger twists because I don't have it in me to do medium or minis. And I wear those for a bit.
I’ll try this thank you
Bun and headband. It can be really simple :)
Very cute tucked styles this way too
thank you, my only worry is my hair getting tangled like that
