Same here, dude is just REALLY good at his job, and had a great idea to start a business. Every single person here would be head over heels if he showed up at where they worked and got them great pay/benefits packages. Although these players make significantly more than most people here, it doesnt make the owner/employer dynamic much different....just a lot of extra 0s that a lot of us aren't used to.
What a braindead statement. Boras is here to get the most money he can for his clients...and hes really good at it...simping for billionaire team owners wallets certainly is something.
He could start a podcast with the other douche with the same name and a similarly punchable face, that might add some value to his life...Tucker and Tucker, subscribe now! /s
I literally said 30 for 6 years is what I would offer. Boras getting 30 for 6 out of Phillies and 31 for 6 for Alonso. Now he trying to get 32 for Tucker and 33 for bellinger. I think bellinger is going to have to say he’s okay with a lesser deal
Boras doesn’t represent Tucker. 2. Bellinger isn’t getting a bigger deal than Tucker, in AAV or years. 3. Neither schwarber or Alonso got 6 years, and schwarber isn’t a boras client either!
It’s a negotiation and we are in January. Not March, not April. This was pretty predictable because Belli is a hard player to value and Cashman wants to be cautious
Platoon Dominguez - who can’t hit from the right side - with Jones - who hasn’t had a major league at-bat and strikes out a third of the time in the minors ? That’s a scary thought.
Dominguez could definitely be a player and I do think they either need to trade him or give him some serious run because I'm not giving up hope on that talent.
Jones is not good though, he probably won't ever be a major leaguer and I'm not even confident we can trade him for anything.
how is it not an equal comparison? Everyone wants to get paid as much as possible by their employer. Doesn't matter if its tens of thousands or tens of millions.
Judge is a perennial MVP candidate every season and is one of if not, the best player in the game.. Bellinger has had 2 really good years out of the last 5 or 6. Not really a defense of what he's asking for to say well, he's not asking for Judge money.
Yes, but Belli did post one of the top 25 WARs in MLB last season and he can play 4 positions at a superior level. If Judge is at the top of the payscale then Belli deserves less, but not a whole lot less. If the Yankees can't afford it they should just move on with lesser players.
Alright, let me try again. Judge is great EVERY year. MVP level great. Belli is really good 1 out of every 3 years and rarely 2 years in a row since his first few years with the Dodgers. From his history, he is unlikely to repeat his 2025 year in 2026. Saying he deserves not a whole lot less than Judge, one of the greatest players of his generation cause Belli put up 2 very good years out of 5 or 6 is nuts. If you want to give an inconsistent 30 year old with a history of back problems 30 mil a year for 7 years cause he was smart enough to have a good walk year, be my guest.
My only point is he could've gotten more money by signing elsewhere. I'm not comparing him or his contract to Belli. Players do occasionally take more than just money into consideration.
You don't understand Bellis value to the team, that's obvious. There isn't anyone that can do what he does for the Yankees to the same degree. Any realistic substitute at a lower price point is a clear downgrade.
I doubt you would be psyched to settle for a mediocre salary after one of the best years of your career and one of the best years in the entire industry. But you're right, Cashman should make a final offer in the neighborhood of 6 years, $180M. That's if the Yankees are a contending team. If they're not contenders and just chicken bucket sellers now then they should just platoon Jones and JD and call it a day.
Not sure if the Cubs are serious about Bellinger, but the person who broke the Edward-Cabrera-to-Cubs news (Michael Cerami) is saying the Cubs have engaged in talks with Bellinger. It makes some sense.
I might get downvoted for this but why the fuck are our offseason plans hinging on Cody Bellinger? Stop treating him like Juan Soto. He isn’t.
Do what you did with Damon. Him and boras were being difficult? Trade for Grandy. Why not see what’s available on the trade market and see what the Snakes want for Marte or what kind of package the Padres want for Tatis.
Judge is gonna be 34. This is not the time for games.
I feel like Tatis and Machado could be packaged up for some prospects. But from the looks of it, we are running it back with less talent than last year.... because you know.... we had the same record as the blue jays lol.
I ABSOLUTELY want nothing to do with Machado, Jesus.
He’s only had a .792 OPS (117 OPS+) over the last 3 seasons, averaging 3.3 bWAR, which isn’t bad, but it’s only going to get worse from here. He’s 33 years old.
He is signed for another 8 seasons, the end of which he’ll be 41 years old, and he’s owed just a hair under $300m in that time span. After next season he makes $39m per year.
No thank you. That contract is going to age like milk.
I get what you’re saying that to get Tatis they probably want to offload that contract but I don’t think in any universe it’s worth it.
I dunno man. I think your assumption here is that Machado will continue to produce average production for the foreseeable future, but I think that contract becomes a disaster the second he loses another step. I look at his value over the next 8 years, not what he might do next year.
Machado is definitely better than McMahon but McMahon still projected to 3 WAR over a full season based only on his Yankee numbers over 54 games. You could do a lot worse for $16m a year.
I just think that $39m a year into his 40s will basically lock the Yankees out of free agency for nearly a decade, especially with Judge and Fried on the books for a while. We all know they’re the Yankees and they don’t have to operate this way, but let’s be honest - they probably will. I’m all for win now, but we can’t completely devastate the future to run for it: you don’t wanna be the ticking time bomb that is the Padres.
Ultimately I’d love Tatis, I just think it’s worth paying the additional prospect capital to acquire him and only him, rather than lessen prospect capital by taking on Machado. We can do better than Machado’s production over the next 8 seasons for $39m AAV.
Look, I hear you, but I also don’t think taking on Machado is 100% required to get Tatis. I think upping a trade offer to get Tatis is worth doing.
And while Machado can help in the very short term, I’d much, much rather allocate his $39m per year to other areas of need that I think can help the team more than Machado can. That kind of money gets you an ace pitcher on the FA market.
I mean, I'd gladly do Tatis alone for 9 years/600mil, Machado is a "free" throw-in.
Plus, Machado is a clear upgrade for the team right now, and we're in win now mode while we still have Judge and Cole. I feel ya on not wanting to take Machado as a throw-in but 1) Our farm is kinda ass, we definitely don't have the capital to go for just Tatis, and 2) Machado does actually make the team better in the window that matters.
That'd be pretty funny. Those are two guys we should have been in on from the start, now we'd be paying the most expensive part of their salary for the worst part of their career instead. Neat.
I’m 100% with you that the time to get Machado was when he was a 26 year old FA, and Harper was basically ours if we wanted him. That’s a generational fuck up.
And I’m also with you Bellinger has huge red flags and I don’t think he’ll age well. I’m nervous about what contract we’d give him.
IMO theres a price point that if Bellinger gets high enough, you may as well open the wallet a bit more and get the far superior player in Kyle Tucker.
I think we are already at that point. If boras wants to play this bullshit, just say "fuck you" and go sign tucker.
Let's see how happy boras clients are if this is 2 or 3 years in a row he fucked up his biggest clients of that off-season by being too greedy. It's great boras can get his guys paid and he's been very successful but it seems everyone is tired of the nickle and diming bullshit every off-season and after 3 of his guys went into ST without a contract last year, I'm sure he might change his tune if it happens again and clients threaten to leave
Other people have said it, but I just want to echo that sentiment that I truly do not care about how bad Machado's contract will end up being in 2 or 3 years, I just want the team to win a ring for Judge this year or the next.
I think it's a very safe bet that Manny would be a much better hitter than McMahon in 2026.
I don't think a Tatis/Machado trade is actually possible though, why would the Padres ever drop their 2 biggest stars? I know they're selling the team but the marketability of the team really hinges on those 2 IMO. They're also not even selling based on them signing King back
Better than McMahon whiffing at everything lol. I didn't know his contract was that crazy. It's definitely win now mentality but sadly our front office doesn't seem to make that priority.
I’m higher on McMahon than most people. He did slightly underperform his expected stats (.306 wOBA vs .323 xwOBA), and he’s 95th percentile exit velocity and 76th percentile barrel rate. He walks a lot as well (87th percentile walk rate). Even though his Yankee tenure was disappointing, his 54 games project to about 3 WAR over a full season, and he’s owed $16m a year.
Personally I think there’s more to unlock there. The strikeouts are obviously a big problem but I really think if he can put some loft in his swing and pull the ball more, he can be a short porch merchant and improve offensively. You always know what you’re getting on defense with him.
He’s not the flashiest player and can be frustrating to watch but I don’t think he’s a problem in the 8 or 9 hole.
I totally agree there’s so much more we can be doing though. I’d love to sign Tucker and go all in. But even if we sign Bellinger we’re running back the best offense in baseball by OPS and runs per game. IMO we need an ace or #2 SP and bullpen help most of all.
Idk if u guys watch baseball or understand how trades work. There is no world where Tatis gets dealt first of all, and there is no world where both get dealt and there’s no world where the Yankees would acquire both… delusion. Yankees have shown a reluctance to spend money so they are going to add 55+ mil in payroll? Then have to find a way to deal McMahon. Also what package would u even send? Lmfao
It's fine to say that....but it doesn't look like anyone else is trading either.
People wanna stomp and yell that they aren't doing anything, but no one really is either besides a few pieces that the Yankees weren't in on anyway.
I was "meh" on all the Japanese players this year and it looks like so was almost all of baseball. These guys got WAY less than what was initially estimated because I just don't know if anyone thinks they're good either.
No Tucker, Belli, Bichette no real big trades. The stove is cold in most areas. I don't want them to make a move to make one. None of the real trades are going to happen until the FA chips start to fall.
Based on the 2025 Soto vs. Bellinger statistics, I would not focus on Bellinger not being Soto. In 16 categories the score is 8 to 8, and Bellinger with a higher Bat. Average.
Soto was a hype, and not worth $725 million.
I might get downvoted for this but why the fuck are our offseason plans hinging on Cody Bellinger? Stop treating him like Juan Soto. He isn’t.
No idea, it seemed like they didn't even want him to begin with when he was available at the '24 trade deadline and he isn't a sure thing. Imo there is a significant chance at immediate permanent regression with Bellinger. This is one contract I am happy they are being cheap with because we don't need another DJ situation. Like you said, there are players available for trade, just have to be willing to trade people, Gil, Warren, Jones, Dominguez, etc. should all be on the table for upgrades.
At this point if he won’t take the Yankees offer , and he can’t get a better offer anywhere else… it’s time to move on. That’s the only thing he’ll understand.
This song and dance is absurd. The Yankees have probably given him their best and final offer and his agent is still playing games
Term and dollars remains the reason the Yankees haven't signed me, too. They prefer zero years for zero dollars. I'm looking for one year and 20 bucks. We're not far apart.
When is a mystery team going to make its entrance into the conversation? When the mystery team gets mentioned then I can hope for a little more fire on the stove. Until then, same shit different day.
I'm so tired of boras every single fucking off-season
And I'm tired of our fucking gm not being able to multitask. You can focus on other players so playing into these games with boras and dragging our the off-season.
Before you know it, pitchers and catchers will be reporting and we are rolling into the season with less than a "run it back" than usual
If they’re pennypinching with Bellinger… they’re not going to sign Tucker
Unless they give him an insane amount of money AAV for three years, I don’t see it happening. And I don’t see him doing that unless no one is willing to pay him.
We’re actually gonna go into next season with a worse roster than this year
We’re all gonna be hoping that somehow Spencer Jones or Dominguez pan out.
They need to present the offer to Belli the right way. Get him sentimental about his dad playing there. Explain to him he has an outside shot at Cooperstown BUT he needs five really good years with the short porch. Toronto and San Fran and all those pitcher friendly parks won’t get him there. Appeal to vanity, loyalty, tradition and the freakin Hall. He’s already rich. He needs to hit some milestones.
Can we please just go sign the superior player in Tucker? Bellinger is not fucking Soto, once his price hits a certain point you may as well shell out superstar money for an actual superstar.
There isn't enough information released to public for anyone to know where they are at. It could be Yanks low balling Bellinger because his market might be pretty nonexistent or Bellinger might be seeking 6-7 years. I just know this is probably gonna take a very long time before agreement comes together
Come on Cody if Yankees and Mets don’t want to pay what you want come on back to Dodgers . Then you shove it down their throats if they are good enough to face Dodgers in playoffs and World Series😀
It gets to the point of why would we be giving out a superstar contract to Belli, he's great but not for the 7/8 years and 200+ they want. I'm no Cashgod, but 3/90 seems to be where'd I'd land.
Yanks prob low balled him on the offer knowing cheap Hal. If we don't get Belli or Tucker its a failed offseason and wasting another year of Judge. Team will be lucky to make it to the postseason with other teams getting better. should be going all in while Judge is still good.
Feels like there may be some truth that the Yankees are intentionally trying to avoid any new contracts this season in preparation for the next collective bargaining agreement.
They’re putting all their eggs in the basket of a player who was good, yes but not an all star. Saving up all the money for him and bypassing every player but bargain bin. It’s insanity. I want him back on the team but not if he’s all we can get.
So the gap is just literally everything.
Sounds like Boras is digging in trying to get us to bid against ourselves.
We're presently his only bidder. Boras wants $30 million AAV for 7 years. Yanks understandably want less.
$200m/7yr for Bellinger??
Hard pass.
Boras is out of his fucking mind
at the end of the day, Boras does want his client wants. If Bellinger wants to take less money, Boras can't stop him.
Sure, but you don't choose Boras as your agent, unless this is exactly what you want.
This is what every player wants, hell literally every employee in every field wants to be paid the most that they possibly can be.
I really don't understand the Boras hate - hating on Boras is just simping for owners.
Like yeah, he's pretty cringe with some of his taglines but he's pretty clearly good at his job and that's good for the game/players.
[deleted]
How is players getting paid not good for fans? I'd rather they have it than Hal buy another Yacht.
It's not as if they're not playing, they're still giving the fans literally everything they can?
True. But that's why I find it funny that people hate Boras. Dude is doing his job and that's it.
Is he annoying? Yes. Would I rather the Yankees deal with a different agent? Yes.
is he good at what he does? Yes and that's why he's annoying.
But hating him? That's silly.
obviously a player will choose the agent that can get them the biggest bag. Though it's not like his clients have never told him to take less money.
Boras is a fucking cancer
He’s not the cancer. He’s trying to get as much money as he can out of billionaires who don’t like to spend. They’re the cancers.
No one is fucking cancer.
It's just rich people negotiating a fucking contract.
they don't become billionaires if they will spend like the way boras wanted them to spend on his clients
But the real key is that Boras only becomes a billionaire if they spend like he wants them to. He's only half way there as of today.
yes out of the love of his heart
he's a billionaire too
lol no he’s not
Boar/Ass
What a braindead statement. Boras is here to get the most money he can for his clients...and hes really good at it...simping for billionaire team owners wallets certainly is something.
How is Tucker going to get $400m?
Yeah I don’t see that, I would guess probably $250m over 8 years?
Shit if Belli wants 210m/7 and Tucker could be had for 250m/8, I think Tucker would be the way to go.
He could start a podcast with the other douche with the same name and a similarly punchable face, that might add some value to his life...Tucker and Tucker, subscribe now! /s
Hard pass at 6/180
Anything over 5 is too much
Pass!
There was reports that Belli won’t sign until Tucker signs
Completely believe that, that’s boras’s playbook. None of that addresses my point though- you act like boras has control over Tucker, or schwarber.
The longer this goes on the less I’m into Bellinger, and I’m a big fan of his.
If you want to be a Yankee like you claim then sign the deal. Otherwise fuck right off.
We have other business to attend to.
Cashman, make last and final offer and then move on.
Sorry Belli you are not making your fans and supporters happy. This is NY. Put up or shut up.
lol you’re taking it way too personally
It’s a negotiation and we are in January. Not March, not April. This was pretty predictable because Belli is a hard player to value and Cashman wants to be cautious
Where do you think cashman is moving on to? This is it. Cashman isnt making any other deals this winter for anyone above journeyman status.
Platoon Jones and The Martian.
Spend the money on Bichette as a true lead off hitter.
Go for Peralta.
There are tons of options.
But as I stated in another thread this reeks of collusion by the owners in advance of the lockout.
Our favorite poor billionaire Hal sits on the committee.
He is focused on the bigger picture of salary across the league. He doesn’t give a shit if the Yankees win or not.
Platoon Dominguez - who can’t hit from the right side - with Jones - who hasn’t had a major league at-bat and strikes out a third of the time in the minors ? That’s a scary thought.
That's pretty generous, it's closer to 40% lol
Dominguez could definitely be a player and I do think they either need to trade him or give him some serious run because I'm not giving up hope on that talent.
Jones is not good though, he probably won't ever be a major leaguer and I'm not even confident we can trade him for anything.
Jones' K rate
2023 29%
2024 36.7%
2025 35.4%
Bichette has a career 337obp. That's not a "true" leadoff hitter or any other kind
Spencer Jones
I’m sure you would happily take less money for your work because of the fans.
If no one is offering more then how is he taking less?
30 mil vs 20mil is still the exact same quality of life for them. If you cant manage that amount of money that's on you
Every raise in most of our salary brackets is life changing
So most of us don't really care too much about millionaires cry about a couple mil when it makes minimal difference in their lives
Sorry I don’t cry for multi millionaires playing a sport.
Not an equal comparison by any stretch. But hey. Do your thing my guy.
Have a good night.
how is it not an equal comparison? Everyone wants to get paid as much as possible by their employer. Doesn't matter if its tens of thousands or tens of millions.
Tens of thousands goes a lot further for anyone posting in this sub than tens of millions will for an already filthy rich athlete.
No instead you simp for billionaire team owners. Do your thing my guy.
Is that not what Judge did? Took less money to stay in NY?
Why are people mad about this literal fact lmao
He still got $40M aav, Belli is not asking for anything close to that.
Judge is a perennial MVP candidate every season and is one of if not, the best player in the game.. Bellinger has had 2 really good years out of the last 5 or 6. Not really a defense of what he's asking for to say well, he's not asking for Judge money.

indeed. a rare case in which a player took 9 yrs $360M instead 10 yrs $400M...especially when it was his first and last big contract.
Taxes are higher in California.
Judge makes up the difference and far more by being captain of NY vs SF. Belli wouldn’t sell nearly the merch.
San Diego...SF offered him the same 9 yr $360M.
You don't understand Bellis value to the team, that's obvious. There isn't anyone that can do what he does for the Yankees to the same degree. Any realistic substitute at a lower price point is a clear downgrade.

I feel if there was a deal for $180m/6yr he would have jumped on it already.
We’re one week into the new year and no rumors about any team being close.
Braindead
Yeah Bellinger is brain dead. You are right.
But no reason to resort to name calling.
Boras clients have no loyalty, they go to the highest bidder.
Not sure if the Cubs are serious about Bellinger, but the person who broke the Edward-Cabrera-to-Cubs news (Michael Cerami) is saying the Cubs have engaged in talks with Bellinger. It makes some sense.

Very very true lol.
That'd be pretty funny. Those are two guys we should have been in on from the start, now we'd be paying the most expensive part of their salary for the worst part of their career instead. Neat.
Tbf for belli that 3 year gap where he was horrible is also a red flag. Yea he played better in recent years but those years are still sus
Plus in typical cashman fashion, we could have had fuckin Machado years ago, just like Harper but cashman I fuckin sucks
I’m 100% with you that the time to get Machado was when he was a 26 year old FA, and Harper was basically ours if we wanted him. That’s a generational fuck up.

Better than McMahon whiffing at everything lol. I didn't know his contract was that crazy. It's definitely win now mentality but sadly our front office doesn't seem to make that priority.

Lmfao
You kind of have it backwards, the only way the Padres might be willing to trade Tatis is if someone takes Machado.
They desperately want to get rid of him.
It won't happen but i would be good with Tatis + Machado if the yanks can include McMahon going to the Padres.
That would be insane but don't think that is happening
I don't think so either but it seems like the Padres window is closing.
Bruh, reports are already out that they are spending major money. It's over, we wasted judge, we wasted cole, we wasted having Stanton.
This is way beyond fireable offenses
I don't even want him back anymore. I don't wanna deal with any more Boras clients. Let Cole be the last.
Amen brother you are spot on
No idea, it seemed like they didn't even want him to begin with when he was available at the '24 trade deadline and he isn't a sure thing.
I think it's either Bellinger or nothing of substance.
I much rather spend that money on back end rotation guys and bullpen guys at this point.
I am fine with rolling with Dominguez and Spencer at this point, fuck Belli
Forget the 5 WAR guy that plays 4 positions and was top 5 RISP BA in MLB las season.
It's time to roll with one of the worst fielders in baseball and a guy who strikes out a ton in AAA. That is a golden path to a championship.
Pssst were not winning a championship for a long time, windows closed
I don’t care anymore.
Same.
At this point if he won’t take the Yankees offer , and he can’t get a better offer anywhere else… it’s time to move on. That’s the only thing he’ll understand.
This song and dance is absurd. The Yankees have probably given him their best and final offer and his agent is still playing games
Take it or fucking leave it already dude.
Do you wanna be here or not?
Same, we are going to massively overpay him no matter what
At a certain point the Yankees just need to do their best and final offer and call it a day. I love Belli but not to the point of a bad contract.
If he wants that much may as well go after Tucker
Well at least they’re only apart on aav and years, no big deal. Lol
Hey guys, have you heard anything about a gap between the Yankees and Cody Bellinger? Does anyone know if they want to bring him back?
Move on holy shit
Seriously.
Enough already with this fucking guy. The Yankees are obviously not going to budge on their final number. Take it or leave it.
It’s time to move on
Agree time to walk if belli hit 220 had 15 homers and 60 rbis he would have jumped on his option
I haven’t heard of any competition. Stick with the offer and he can take it or leave it. Focus on other players in the meantime.
They're a small family owned business, they have rent to pay, cut them some slack /s
Same. They made me an offer and I also found it to be lacking in both years and AAV.
"They're trying to sign a contract but the sticking point is...the two basic terms of a contract, time and money."
Got it.
Make a final offer and move on at this point.
insane posturing for a player with 2 good years in the past 8
Amen !!! Down year on the horizon
Exactly
My guess is he eventually signs with the Mets and the Yankees commit to Dominguez in LF. Hopefully, if that’s the case they acquire more pitching.
no chance the Mets give him the years
Who else is offering him this? The Mets? If we’re in an actual bidding war against them we’ll lose and just might as well bow out now.
Honestly…. Let him fucking go.
To hell with this bullshit. I’m sure the Yankees are not going to budge on their number. This is just a waste of time.
Enough of this. Sign Bo. Trade for Donovan. Trade for a SP and let’s move on. Over this.
Your better than cashman your hired
Omg! I’m so excited to join the Yankees organization. I won’t fail you. I promise! 2026 WS!
At this point just walk away Yanks. It’s clear you don’t want that guy on a long contract. I rather give that money to Tucker or Bo
The Yankees' off-season was finished when Grisham accepted his qualifying offer.
Unfortunately, that seems to be the case
Whatever small amount of money we had to maneuver with we blew it by paying Grisham 20 mil for the year based off of one quality season.
What a debacle
Just pivot to Tucker. I will never understand the Yankees logic on this.
Bruh
If they’re pennypinching with Bellinger… they’re not going to sign Tucker
Unless they give him an insane amount of money AAV for three years, I don’t see it happening. And I don’t see him doing that unless no one is willing to pay him.
We’re actually gonna go into next season with a worse roster than this year
We’re all gonna be hoping that somehow Spencer Jones or Dominguez pan out.
Forget $180M/6 years, time to roll with $40M/10 years, what do people not get about that?
Omg they clearly don't wanna do anything
So the Yankees are bidding against themselves for Belli and his own agent is with Belli & Tucker? Yeah this is gonna take awhile see you in February
Tucker has a different agent.
Steve Cohen’s bid is “Whatever they bid, plus 15M”
Just like with Soto, Yankees need a plan B. They can't do a "Belli or bust" strategy, or they risk having an incredibly weak offseason.
Focus on Bichette. I honestly never really cared about bringing Bellinger back
They need to present the offer to Belli the right way.
Looks like everything is about bellinger.....dont wanna sign, move on and that Boras is as always c%&cer....
Bellinger is pissing me off.
Boras needs to be fired
So everything. Word.
Can we please just go sign the superior player in Tucker? Bellinger is not fucking Soto, once his price hits a certain point you may as well shell out superstar money for an actual superstar.
Well at least it has nothing to do with a luxury suite for Bellinger’s whole family. I like our chances.
There isn't enough information released to public for anyone to know where they are at. It could be Yanks low balling Bellinger because his market might be pretty nonexistent or Bellinger might be seeking 6-7 years. I just know this is probably gonna take a very long time before agreement comes together
Let him take it or leave it.
Time to move on.
Wasting time here.
Well yeah. Thats how these things go
25m a year for 5 years should be the max.
Anything else Boras is smoking crack
So no gap on chicken buckets per season, now we’re really getting somewhere
and what i'm told is upsetting
So do something else. He's not the only good player out there.
we weren’t good enough with Bellinger. Let him walk
No shit stfu already with the same tweets
I like Belli but at this point maybe it’s best to walk away.
Oh is that all? Wonder why it’s taking so long then…
😂😂😂
Seems like classic Boras move, just playin us like a fiddle again, smh f
This isn’t news. Stop talking about this until some other non-Yankees team makes a competitive offer.
Yankees gonna miss again
Cashman: Scotty bro 5/150 Boras; we want 6/210. Cashman: Not yet there. We'll talk again soon.
Well i didnt think it was the cotton content of his jersey, of course its f'ing years and money.
Yankees need to move on, it seems every year one player holds up the Yankees plan. Bellinger is good but not good enough to be overpaid.
Damn, I thought it was facial hair
Just go get Tucker or try to trade for Kwan.
Yanks prob low balled him on the offer knowing cheap Hal. If we don't get Belli or Tucker its a failed offseason and wasting another year of Judge. Team will be lucky to make it to the postseason with other teams getting better. should be going all in while Judge is still good.
Time to move on from Cody and try for Bo
Yankees should offer $140m/5 years. If he doesn't take it, move on.
I actually think Bichette is better fit. Not saying I do not like Belli. I wish they would sign both.
Feels like there may be some truth that the Yankees are intentionally trying to avoid any new contracts this season in preparation for the next collective bargaining agreement.
Scott Boras is delusional. Walk away and go get Tucker.
Run it back but with even less pieces than last year. Yankees beisbol!
They’re putting all their eggs in the basket of a player who was good, yes but not an all star. Saving up all the money for him and bypassing every player but bargain bin. It’s insanity. I want him back on the team but not if he’s all we can get.
Bellinger actually was an AS, just not in the first half. His WAR was top 10 percent of all full-time players last season.
If that’s the case, then go after Tucker.
In a week Bellinger will sign with the Mets and the reports will say that the Yankees were never truly involved in Belinger
This is getting tired. Honestly just sign Austin Hays and be done with it. That's where this is going to end up anyway.
So wild the stupid stupid move of extending the qualifying to Grisham cost us Bellinger.
If he doesn’t want to be a Yankee he can hit the road no one is bigger than the franchise
Why would they be negotiating in African-American vernacular?
