Gwalior:
A tragic accident claimed the life of a 90-year-old man in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior when a dump truck loaded with gravel overturned on him while he was sitting outside his house to bask in the sun. The accident took place on Friday and was caught on CCTV.
The victim has been identified as Girraj Sharma, who lived with his grandson Satish Sharma. According to local residents, Sharma was sitting outside his home, enjoying the winter sunlight, when a dump truck arrived in the area for construction work at a nearby house.
As the vehicle moved forward, one of its tyres reportedly got stuck in a pothole on the road. The truck lost balance and overturned suddenly. Seeing the vehicle tilt, the elderly man attempted to get up, but before he could move away, the gravel spilt onto him. He died on the spot after being crushed under the heavy load.
After the accident, the dump truck driver fled the scene. Residents of the area immediately informed the police. Personnel from Bahodapur police station reached the spot and recovered the body from beneath the overturned vehicle. Family members of the victim also arrived at the scene shortly after.
Lmao, the truck itself is like 10 tons. Beside that you can see it's transporting gravel. At this point I'm not sure if you're dense, or I'm feeding a troll.
dude its cctv footage recorded off a computer. its very clearly not ai. regardless of the metal used in the truck dude wasn't surviving that. do you just like to argue? lol

Well smart man, he couldn’t see how full it was from where he was sitting. Also, he is 90 years old. Getting up and away isn’t an easy task at that point.
morbid curiosity, frustration, conditioning. I got into the habit when I was severely depressed. maybe i wanted to watch others suffer like I was at the time. now that ive normalized it, it feels like a mortal reminder to stay safe and enjoy life.
when I was 7, I lost my maternal gran. I knew how and why she died. But not HOW and WHY. How did a heart stop beating? Why does death happen? and other questions my mum, obviously, didn't want to answer. Pre internet age and only had access to library books, which really didn't tell me much. It left me with a morbid curiosity about death.
A lot of things, one is what could happen out there in the world, to mentally prepare in hopes of prevention or quicker thinking in an emergency.
Morbid curiosity is probably the main draw, but not exactly sure where that came from.
I stayed away for probably 20 years and told myself this stuff bothers me (because I felt it should), but upon rediscovering, it really doesn't. The decisions that lead to these things bother me, especially when innocents pay the price. But the gore itself, i'm more trying to figure out the injuries from the forces that created them, not just to stare at open wounds.
Stared early that I had no issue with death, being responsible to clean up after our cats...
In Uni we had a course called forensic microbiology where we learned about all stages of decomp and than it just stuck to me 🤣
HSE, or Health, Safety, and Environment, is a crucial framework for managing workplace risks, ensuring employee well-being, and minimizing environmental impact, covering physical safety (accidents, machinery), health (mental/physical fitness, diseases), and environmental concerns (emissions, waste).
I come here to remind myself that death can happen at anytime to anyone and to always tell my friends and family I love them in case it is the last time they see me or vice versa
Been interested in this stuff since I was a kid. Dunno why, just saw a photo of Black Dahlia in a magazine one day, read the story and became interested in murders, the psychology behind it, the state of the bodies... overtime just developed into fascination with human biology and psychology, later on progressed to just interest about death in general.
Damn that was tough to watch knowing that he could not move faster to get out of the way and like that his life is gone.
Poor man the way he just gave up broke my heart RIP
When I'm 90 I don't expect myself to jump and run away either.
Never mentioned him running just saying it’s sad that within seconds his life was gone while he just sat there

Probably the video bro
The truck doesn't fully come down to the street though. It looks like there might still be some space for him underneath it.
Yeah, but then the cargo spilled out. No way he survived that.

dang i thought he was saved by the wall. RIP
At least he had a good ninety year innings and didn’t suffer much. Better that than dementia or a long drawn out painful illness.
Thank you
Certified reddit user...You just saw like 20 tons drop right on him, what other outcome do you expect?
Could be a very light material in the truck

I’m not so sure this isn’t AI. A Lots of people falling for ai

The dead guy appears to be dead.
That's not survivable dude
I would have made it around the back
sure
The delusion is strong with you
I am sure he is one of those guys who thinks that they can beat a grizzly bear in a fight.
Good for you! Are you 90 years old as well??

At least it was likely a quick death. So sad.
Oh good heavens! He saw his death coming for him! RIP
Aww man why do the innocent always lose their life
Because death comes for us all, the innocent and the guilty.
To be fair, there's no real way of knowing who this dude was. Could've been the local pedophile for all we know.
Unexpected death is definitely sad though, no way around that. People are just way to quick to judge good and bad from very little information.
Calling someone a pedophile just because he was 90 years old and homeless is insane.
Good thing he didn’t call him a pedophile then, isn’t it?
It's ok they just wanted to prove my point that people are too quick to judge 😂
Can’t judge a book when you don’t even read the cover! 🤪
Because humanity is greedy and the innocent and poor will gladly be sacrificed to save a lil cash.

God forbid you sit on your front porch enjoying the weather

Hey...go and fuck yourself! : )
Looks like the truck was overloaded also
Yeah, and it wasn't a pothole. The truck was so heavy it broke through the road surface. We have maximum axle weights for a reason.
Yes, someone shared this news report in a comment - Madhya Pradesh Man, 90, Killed As Truck With Gravel Overturns On Him
90 years of dodging the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune... only to shuffle off this mortal coil like this.
The eldery need to take the sun, that's why they sit outdoors. This is an unfair way to go.
Why do we all watch this stuff and come to this subreddit btw?
I come to observe death and to make peace with it but I doubt everyone has the same reason

Yeah. Kinda like why people love horror films. All those death and suffering makes me appreciate what I have knowing it could get worse.
Strangely I come for the same reason, its a hard reality of life but even harder to come to peace with it

work...I supprt HSE and this helps me spotting risks better
Its sone dedication to look at gore and death for the sake of work when you are not obligated to outside of work hours
Uses the job requires this then thats also wild

What's HSE?

If you ever feel like life is being unfair, come here and get reality aligned

Also helps with feeling suicidal ngl.
When your number’s up.
That poor man.
Life is so fragile.
Just just kinda fit there perfectly
That's so messed up
That's horrible...
Imagine surviving all that time to be taken out like that, what an absolute tragedy.
Final Destination
That is so sad and fucked up.
I feel soo sad for him .. 😭
Almost A 100 years old and dies like THAT? Sometime I question my creator.
we never owned this life. we merely borrowed it
The government in the area should be responsible for the accident for sure!
I tend to think that not knowing what hit you is better than seeing it coming and having nothing you can do😕
Yeah, at least it was over quickly in this case.
A truck that size shouldn't be doing down that narrow road.
Final Destination, Rip old man
Hope they catch the driver and throw him in the pothole.
What the F?
Statistics
Back in my day we didn’t have to worry about these machine land animals
Damn. That’s awful.
So many ways to die, but when it's your time. You can never do anything about it just like this
What a shame. So young and full of life.
I think he might be dead
Damn, ninety years. Just to get smooshed like a bug.
This legitimately looks like the wall stops it from completely crushing him.
Some things are meant to happen. Very sad but 90 is a good life. RIP
Asi como la pipa q volco por santa marta, no se necesita mucha velocidad se necesita demasiado peso y un camino d lavrga
saved by the wall i think
would like an update actually...
the steps on his right might have given him enough room to escape the crush.... not sure bout suffocatin under all that gravel tho
He didn't make it. Madhya Pradesh Man, 90, Killed As Truck With Gravel Overturns On Him
That's what I thought as well. Maybe someone who was not as frail could have made it. Maybe not, though.
No, sadly he didn't make it. Madhya Pradesh Man, 90, Killed As Truck With Gravel Overturns On Him
Damn, surviving 90 years in some shithole just to be crushed by some dumbfuck.
No, he escaped. Unscathed. HE LIVES!!!
Check the back tire as it sort of... rolls into the ground. Doesnt look natural.
Also that old man is still alive. His shoes never fell off.
Why did I think it said "shitting outside"
no aftermath
Studying the video, he could've probably survived if he stood up and jumped so that he lands on the pile of dirt on the truck's dump body.
You're asking a 90 yr old to fuckin jump?? Dude had 3 seconds, kinda reaction time do you think he has at 90?
Bruh dont you see there are 3 tall trees infront of him? even if he can jump he'd still hit those trees and go down
Dude the old dude is old as hell, 90 years old, legs are weak and slow.
You expecting him to jump off and bolt like Usain Bolt??? 😐
he's 90 bud.
