• Voters that don't bump a team over a team they just beat are not serious.

Caroline makauskas has usc at 12 and ND at 21??

Baylor over Iowa on Zach smiths ballot is even worse 🤣

  • Mitchell Northam putting UK at 5 is deeply unserious

  • There is zero reason for UCLA or SC to be first by anyone. Compared to UConn's first 6 match ups, they have had the tougher schedule and have won. Joe and Alex are on something else lmao

I think the one argument is that UConn was a shot away from going to OT on what is effectively their home court. That being said, I still think they should be first and UCLA second

  • you can always cherrypick whatever you want off of these things. And that is what I am going to do. Zach Smith has Michigan at 12. That seems really harsh. The team he covers Baylor is at 11 in his rankings. Just lost to Iowa. Got taken to overtime by Davidson; I have a hard time grasping his logic here.

It's always so fun to call out these people. Tbf they are setting the votes for what everyone in the country considers "official" rankings up until March. If I was doing this I'd be taking it super seriously. Michigan lost to the #1 team in the country by 3... in a hostile environment and beat his #19 team by 40 points. Meanwhile Iowa just beat Baylor by 5 and yet Baylor is his 11 and Iowa is his 14. What a joke

  • This is a series I've been doing on r/CollegeBasketball for 6 years, and now r/CFB for 10. The post attempts to visualize consistency between voters in the AP Poll in a single image. Additionally it sorts each AP voter by similarity to the group. Notably, this is not a measure of how "good" a voter is, just how consistent they are with the group. Especially preseason, having a diversity of opinions and ranking styles is advantageous to having a true consensus poll. Polls tend to coalesce towards each other as the season goes on.

You can view all weeks here, for other sports too.

Christy Winters Scott was the most consistent voter this week. Matt Dowell, Joe Vozzelli, Madeline Kenney, Angel Gray, and Michael Sauls are the most consistent on the season.

Mitchell Northam was the biggest outlier this week. Mitchell Northam, Sabreena Merchant, Rebecca Lobo, Jeff Linder, and Zach Smith are the biggest outliers on the season.

    Thank you for your work!

  • Once again, not sure how the TAMU voter decides to be the only person to put Texas at 2

Edit: also the last voter confuses me greatly

Yeah, that ballot is all over the place

  • All the UConn affiliated voters had Michigan as #5, INTERESTINGGGGGGGG

  • šŸ‘€šŸ‘€šŸ‘€

  • I’m just excited that Texas Tech received some votes this week! They are being seen.

  • I’m so excited Stanford is finally close to cracking the top 25!

There was a time not so long ago it was shocking not to be there!
