I need movies that will make me laugh my lungs out. I'm fine with cliches and controversial stuff I guess. I just feel like most movies these days don't meet the criteria of funny. Preferably movies I'd like to watch movies available on Disney plus or on Netflix. Something you can't find by just searching on safari. I'm talking hidden gems
Animal House, Airplane!, Naked Gun, Kentucky Fried Movie.
It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Young Frankenstein
Blazing Saddles
The Pink Panther
A Shot In The Dark
Son Of The Pink Panther
The Eagle Shooting Heroes
Almost everything with Dom De Luise
The Muppet Movie
Blazing Saddles is absolutely untouchable, that's peak Mel Brooks right there
The Muppet Movie hits different when you watch it as an adult too, way more clever than you remember
Walk Hard- The Dewey Cox Story
This is maybe my favorite comedy film of the 21st Century to date.
Arsenic and Old Lace. The web states this is on Netflix. Its a dark comedy about insanity with several plot twists. One of my favorite movies. I love Cary Grant. Have you seen Hunt For The Wilder People? I found it on Tubi. Its a very funny hidden gem if you have not seen it. Superbad is on Disney and hilarious.
I watched 21 jump at the other day. Made my laugh a lot.
The birdcage with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane is about a gay couple in Florida who have to pretend to be straight and my cousin Vinny is about two college students who hire their cousin to help them with their falsely accused murder charge. Their cousin is a lawyer but he's never been to trial. These are my two favorite comedies.
You can find all movies by searching on safari. What do you mean? My recommendation is Role Models but I cannot comment on what platform it’s available and it’s def searchable so 🤷🏻♀️.
what a strange response
How is it strange? The request made no sense. Something you can’t find just by searching on safari? Huh?
Quite odd.
USED CARS
Used Cars is a trippy one. Kurt Russel in his first movie after all the Disney movies. I think its an R rated too.
Nothing to Lose (1997)
Boy, did you pick the wrong guy on the wrong day.
I fucking love this movie.
Airplane is the single funniest movie I’ve ever seen without question
Animal House
I’m Gonna Git You Sucka
The Big Lebowski
To be fair, Lebowski isn't funny to a lot of people on first watch. But it gets better every time.
That's uhhh, like, your opinion man
Shut the fuck up, Donny
Yes, I decided to put it down especially since it is one of the best known Coen films. And, there is Lebowski fest. It is to most a comedy as well as a film noir. Fargo has a some funny bits, but the Man Who Was Never There does not.
Edited for grammar
My recommendation is Hercules Returns. Nearly wet myself laughing in a near empty cinema when it came out. Not sure if it’s on Disney or Netflix, so you may need to search. A little Aussie ripper. :o)
Do Revenge (2022, Netflix) is kinda underrated, it had a 2000s vibe, a mix of Clueless and Mean Girls
Noises Off
10000% I showed this to my son and he was laughing so hard he almost puked. It has so much going on and there are little things that shouldn't be funny but kill.
The Ice Harvest. It's a great dark comedy that takes place during Xmas. Starring John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton.

I think Hall Pass was part of the last great era of comedies and I don't think it gets enough recognition.
I asked this same question a while back and I found the responses as entertaining as the suggestions they included lol.
Also, I agree. I don't think that this moment in time is the golden age of comedy. In fact, most of the recs on my post are 10 years or older and I have some theories on the why of that.
