Looking for a good high-profuction quality 2025 movie. I've seen some movies but I feel I missed a lot. All genres except romance and horror. Something serious and good writing.
I get what you're saying, but I feel like Sinners is very similar to Bones and All for me. I feel like horror is a misunderstanding of the movie. The scary PARTS are just a vehicle, but to me a very small part of the meaning and movie in general. I'd say it's LOWERCASE r horror if anything. But ya if OP doesn't like gore, there's some gnarly bits lol. Not a lot, but they're there lol
Got it. Weapons is more uncomfortable than horrifying. The ending is fun and classic Zach Cregger…it may not be for everyone but many like his style and I am definitely one of them.
I thought weapons would be more “horror” than it ended up being. It was strange and kind of goofy, but with some creepy stuff as well. The ending was over-the-top, gory fun. It’s more of a supernatural satire than straight-up horror.
The king walk
If you were going to only watch one movie, it should be One Battle After Another. (It should really be Sinners, but that is hard R horror.)

I've seen the sinners. But for battle after another I've watched like 24mins and stopped. The beginning was a bit weird for me
Mickey 17 was really weird but I loved it
I've seen it, it was good
Bugonia was the best film I saw this year
Next year is looking up...
Yup. I have high hopes for project hail mary
Believe it or not, I think "Scary Movie 6" may be a real hit. It's what I am most looking forward to. I know it's an unconventional choice.
One Battle After Another was really entertaining.
Movie of the fucking year and it just released on HBO Max
Black Bag
Avater 3, watch the first 2 if you haven't
Companion
Don't read anything about it, don't watch the trailer, just watch the movie
That's how I love to do it anyways.
Sing sing
Blue Moon
F1. I
t’s got strong Western vibes but it’s all about racing.
I’m currently watching it again and can’t recommend it enough. It deserves at least one watch through.
Agree. Very good movie
"Wake Up Dead Man"
Director: Rian Johnson
Year: 2025
Is it good? I've watched the original knives out, and it was good
This one's definitely my favourite out of all three films in the franchise. It's pretty good
👏👏
Definitely watch this. Amazing writing!
👏👏
"Oh, Hi!"
The thing that STARTS the story is romance, but it's not romantic at all really. Super funny, really intimate, great movie.
Rental Family
Frankenstein
One Battle After Another
Sinners
Weapons
Was weapons good?
Weapons has many horror elements.
Lots of violent scenes.
Good movie, but if you don't want graphic violence skip it.
Both weapons and sinners are horroresque…just giving you a heads up as you said you didn’t really want that.
Both were fun, suspenseful, and great releases. I like Sinners way more than weapons but enjoyed both.
I've seen the sinners, didn't find it horrifying. I just don't want mainly horror films that are focused only on horror if you know what I mean
