LGS has a 950 w/1 mag in 4/5 shape (good non pitted metal, nice barrel, blueing is 95%, grips not cracked but has some scratches in the grips and general wear from slidin around a drawer or something.) for $300
they also have a jetfire with 2 mags, box, paperwork, not mint but excellent shape for $350.
both are .25cal
I held them both and couldnt really tell the difference. the jetfire may have had slightly fatter grips and maybe it was just my mind playing tricks but the 950 felt heavier...
if anyone knows its you guys!
Same pistol. 950 also came in .22 short, called the Minx. The BS had a safety
they had one of those Minx too lol. so theres really no difference in em? Seems like the one with box paper and extra mag for only $50 more is the better deal
also had an astra cub in .25 - ive got one in .22 short already and this one while shootable and solid was missing alot of blueing and generally aged and still wanted $300
Spend the extra $50.
jetfire is the name for the 950 in 25 acp. minx is the name for the 950 in 22 short. there are models with and without a safety. i own one with a safety, and ive accidentally engaged it while shooting once or twice; its just a tiny gun. if you have large hands it would be more of a concern. id buy whichever one is in better condition. i personally dont care about having original box/paperwork but i know some people do.
Yea i don't care too much about having a box but the extra mad and slightly better shape for 50 more might be worth it.
The original 950 says 1950 on the slide and the barrel lugs are smaller and its slightly smaller In certain areas. These are designated as the pre950s. They changed a col things after that. Lmk if u want me to post a picture of mine reference.
Oh wow I have a 950, never thought about this.
For $300 and $350? Get both. Now.
The 950 is the model, but it comes in a cpl dif variants the .22 short known as the minx and the .25acp as the jetfire, both are made with a long barreled version aswell.
