Can I safely admit that I read these and they were weirdly kind of good?
Each dude in the upper left had a signature weapon for his battle circle'n and it's in his name. One guy was also a wasteland mutant. Pretty sure some cyborg stuff was also involved.

Of course! Someone else in the original post said the modern clothes were part of the plot so I have to say I'm a little intrigued.
