i just played a comp where both moira and mercy got banned and physically facepalmed. who do you guys play in this situation? i play lucio personally bcuz my aim is trash and he’s easiest to get some value from
Brig used to be my backup, I love the perk that increases inspire when you hit whipshot combined with slamming them into a wall, but now vendetta makes her miserable to play 🙃
Illari is another backup I pick, I like finding good spots with her pylon. I really need to practice with Ana but I’m so bad at hitting sleep that I feel like I’m throwing if I practice in QP
Illari has been my go to support alt these days as well. I think I’m a bit more reliably helpful with Kiri but almost caught up with Illari and can farm the “not in your top 3” weekly with her and practice hit scan aim a bit.
entirely likely that youre trying to play brig like moira which is not the case. youre supposed to afk on a corner with your shield up, scouting a whipshot target, and then if your team gets first pick you can hold W and brawl.
i can flex literally anyone.
though, when the other support is trying to pick moira and she gets banned, they just leave the game and waste the rest of the players time lol
Life weaver would be the next easiest, you get even easier value out of him if you don’t play much other heroes. I’ve learned kiri, Ana and brig so I’m pretty good for supports though (I still main Moira she’s my highest hero by more than 30 levels lol)
i know kiri and lucio was the first one i learned before moira but was mostly interested cause it was so annoying. i see moira get banned a lot recently and it makes me sad
I enjoy Ana but feel guilty AF when my heal numbers tank if I’m not hitting enough targets haha. And it’s not even traded for DPS like with Moira haha.

That’s surprising, zen is so good esp wirh annoying tanks on the other team. Ana is good too but im so bad with her sleeps, my aim is ass but I’ve been able to get by with Bap
I love him because he can aim around corners and hit folks who aren’t expecting it, he has an excellent “escape” that is nearly on Moira’s Fade level, he can do a ton of healing, and he hits really hard, especially if you hold the trigger for a long time.
The best part is that few people really understand how to play him at all, so you won’t get leavers because you’re doing a ton of damage.
Also, his sledding emote is the most fun since Kiri’s skateboard.
Haven't seen her banned, but have had her snagged before I could. I shift to a ranged healer, based upon team composition. May not be as good (their Moira or my other hero selection), but at least I'm gonna do my best by my team.
I typically play baptiste in that situation bc of his immortality thingy and play more defence or lucio so I can boop people then go hella offensive bc of speed
Wuyang. His movement allows him to play off-angles and dash out like Moira can. His healing isn't as potent, but his heal-boost wave is if you have another support with you.

Kiri. I can't really aim either, but you can get tons of value from suzu and kitsune rush, and she's an ok healbot. Otherwise, my choice is really dependent on maps, enemy comp, and my team's comp. I suck at Zenyatta but sometimes choosing him and pressing E provides the most value.

whipshot sword throw -> shield bash away its the only counterplay.

Yeah, because of moira's low skill floor and the ease of value in lower metal ranks, I could expect to see her banned more there.
In that case, who you play instead comes down to whether you play Moira because she's fun, or your aim sucks (or both, lol).
Aim heavy heroes like ana and bap would he more difficult if thats your issue, so going with Lucio or weaver might work better there.
But if you can make good use of the kit despite your aim, ana and kiri are both good.
Juno would be an okay middle ground since part of her kit auto aims. And when you get the no reload perk it csn mitigate aim issues.

I've literally never seen Moira get banned wth 😂 ppl are wild. Lucio though, hands down. Juno if the other sup is already Lucio.

If I see a sym I go mercy to pocket if not I go illari as a safe pick or Ana if the enemy team como has alot of cc or strong ults that I can sleep

The problem with most mercy and Moira remains is that they don't really have the skill sets for characters Beyond those two characters you mentioned.

I play at a higher rank where Moira doesn't get banned
Ana, Lucio, Baptist, Orisa or Dva. And Moira gets only banned in 1 out of 10 games in platinum rank.

If its stadium, my back up is Kiriko, but in regular comp i can't seem to use Kiriko effectively so I use Brig
