I've been using Boost for Reddit on Android this entire time and it has worked flawlessly up until last night. Seems no matter what I do it says Blocked now. I know most people moved on to the official app months and months ago but it always worked for me as a mod. Is the end finally here?
EDIT: I was able to get it to work using these instructions.
They did something a few days ago that seemed to break some API keys. I just had to generate a new application for my account and update the app with the new API key using RiF revanced patch.
Yep, same. Had to redo my API key for RIF (Do this on an alt reddit account from the one you comment with) and once I did it worked just fine.
Edit: my app broke on the 4th, but that could be due to an alphabetical sort or "date created" filters
Edit 2: for /u/sageleader

Oh does generating a new api key work?
To anyone reading this and facing the same issue of 403/Blocked, like myself this morning;

Search for the GitHub links to wchill's solution/patch. It works -- for now!
Took a bit of doing, but it worked! Now I'm curious what patching my other apps might do.
I was able to fix error 403 by making all my accounts moderators on throwaway subs. Old Reddit (and therefore third party apps) is rate limited for non-mods.
As I understand from the ReVanced sub. The issue was the user agent string.
One of the Admins had commented on the API access that user agents couldnt just be random strings.
In my case I didnt even need a new API key. I just repatched RIF which made a new user agent and poof it works again.
I've been using Boost unaltered the entire time as a mod too and every API request started returning "403 Blocked" on March 5, 2025.
Gonna have to look into Revanced patches.
i've been using a patched boost with my own api key..... its over
I use RiF every day. Create your API key, and use ReVanced to patch RiF.
