I hope he was removed as coach. I can't imagine anyone being OK with a coach having a fellow coach fired from his day job.

  • He died in 2011 by a heart attack during the pewee final. Hawks had 4-3 with 5 minutes left. It was too even scored for his heart. Its not worth winning if you cant win big.

Crazy that the two losses in the championship didn’t kill him.

  • The Hawks' parents and the youth hockey board began questioning Reilly’s methods. His strict, win at all costs approach was scrutinized, especially when you're not winning, his loss to the Ducks was the last straw and he was fired. Exiled from coaching youth hockey, Reilly would later attempt to make amends with Gordon Bombay after seeing him win the Junior Goodwill Games. His worst nightmare happens, he retires quietly, fading into obscurity while occasionally reminiscing about his "glory days."

I personally would love to see a Jack Reilly origin story.

It was pretty shitty of disney to name that lame character after a great coach (Jack Riley from West Point, 1960 Olympic games). They should have used a different name.

Questioning his methods? Man won like 20 championships in a row and his lowest finish in decades was just second place twice lol

He's like the greatest youth coach of all time

  • He never was

    Not even a has been

  • He got Babcock'd.
