Yeah, but “route 1,” is what people from other states call it. Foreign-born people, like my mother, learn to call it US1 from the news, locals, and the other people around who speak the same native language and pay attention to what locals call it. You’re just being pedantic.
So, you want to go back to the ‘70s? That’s an odd choice. I mean, my dad’s side of the family goes back to the ‘20s down here. I’m not sure anyone would identify the 70s as a golden age for Miami. Just take me back to the ‘90s. We had baseball then, and you like baseball.
This is the second post I’ve seen today in which the person you’re talking to complains about foreigners in Miami. Not just people from out of state or non-locals, but specifically people born in other countries. This person sucks.
User is probably from the northeast. I know it’s called Route 1 in southeastern Pennsylvania. If you go even smaller though, it can be called Baltimore Pike
IF.. I was still living in Miami I would arrogantly pronounce... Isn't this a regular Sunday thing? As I don't, I'll say.. it seems like something I saw a lot of when I used to live in Miami.
I’ve lived in this area of Miami for 17 years and can count on one hand the amount of times i95 has been completely shut down on a Sunday. Please go whine about wherever it is you now live.
A) I wasn't whineing, I was observing. B) When it comes to everything EXCEPT the attractions area... Orlando Traffic is fucking heaven compared to South Florida, so I have nothing to whine about up here either.
South bound is shut down entirely for this portion. No idea why
I believe for the construction at SR836/I-95.
Maps have a hazard icon up now ⚠️
It’s all clear now - so I don’t know what that means. Was it possibly an accident? Zero red lines now
This part of 95 would not be closed for that
As is tradition
Calling it Route 1? Tell me you’re not local without telling me you’re not local.
Dude for real
Bro I was like wtf is rte 1? Like Rickenbacker is there....so maybe 1 exit or some shit like wtf is this. Fuck bro it's US1 coño se pasó lol
More than half of Miami dade county is foreign born. There’s a good bet any poster on this subreddit isn’t local

Nah, I’m not pedantic. I’m against what has happened to Miami dade over the last 50 years.

Yeah, this is probably one of those “last ‘Merican to leave Miami bring the flag with you” comemierdas.
Reason for the extra traffic:

What the fuck is a route 1?

No, this is not regular Sunday traffic for this stretch of 95. This would be excessive even at rush hour
Yes I kinda thought that but I’ve had to go thru 95 on a weekday morning and it’s never solid red. Maps won’t even give me an option to go that way.
It’s all cleared up now!
Drove through this today headed north … what a mess. Obviously, it was unexpected so I’m just whining a little bit.
That area is always hell. Always someone going way to slow in the left lane.
