  • First thing go to the police file for identity theft

    So you have a report that is evidenced in a later court case It would be a civil matter.

    Now the guys wanting the money need to prove your identity that YOU in person did that loan.

    Next finding a lawyer somewhere with good records and a low retainer fee.

    Without a lawyer you cant do shit lawyers are friend with the system they know the rules and loopholes.

  • Are you sure YOU are being sued? Not someone with the same name? If they serve you the lawsuit they will probably include the contract with your SSN, etc. If the lawsuit isn't served then I don't think it's nothing to worry about.

    It would be incredibly unlikely that someone used your info to take a car lease and not have it show up on your credit reports.
