We need a bechdal test for podcasts
I'm not sure the podcasts I've listened to would pass it, if you're not careful. I've mostly listened to stuff like SciAm's "60 Second Science", the old Major Nelson Xbox podcast, and technical/niche nonfiction stuff.
I agree. Too many woman-led podcasts are all about men: how much they like having sex with men, but also how annoying they find men as humans.
You may not listen to enough hobby podcasts? I hate podcasts in general but I know of a lot of hobby podcasts, run by women, that have nothing to do with men. Whatever you enjoy doing in your spare time, there’s a podcast about it.
If there’s a podcast JUST about womanhood, relationships are more likely to come up because people are generally defined by our relationships to other things and people. Manosphere podcasts are about women for the same reason. Relationship talk makes money, and both men and women grift other men and women for that reason.
A lot would be neutral topics depending on where you look. I have listened to women talk about niche computer stuff, space, news opinion and stuff although some idk if you can call them podcasts considering youtube is mainstream these days and women have carved their niche in truecrime i think
