The mini 1800 captivated me the most. It seemed the most unique but approachable. its also oddly proportionate, looking far more like a miniaturized keyboard than the other small formats. More details? can't even search "mini1800" . Thanks for letting me know something exists that I didn't know I needed!

Do you shift-flip plus/equals when you use that and minus/underscore as part of the number pad (eg with a ZMK modmorph or QMK override)?
So for both of these I have -_ and =+ keyed to the second momentary layer under O and P respectively, accessible under the first spacebar on the Carabelle, and the left 'Alt' key on the Garbage Truck.

If I could choose, 7 with the split space bar of 9. 7 looks lovely and muted, but having a split KB I can’t manage without Enter & Bspc being on my right thumb and Spc & Tab on my left thumb anymore. I’m always pressing Spc with my thumb when I try to Bspc on a normal keyboard.

How do you like that yk-yl40? Is the quality alright?
It's an Acrylic layer case but good quality for what it is. I prefer acrylic layers to 3D printed cases. It is easy to mod yeah. The plate is also acrylic, it's one of the layers. The ThinkPad nub works "ok" but it would feel more like a mini joystick, not like a good quality one on a modern laptop, but I've barely used nubs in my life so it's hard to compare. It's a hotswap pcb. I appreciated that it was VIAL compatible, some of these aliexpress boards are nightmares to configure.
The case comes with extra mini layers for a lifted angle base, which you have to install yourself with provided extra screws, which are longer. The stabs it comes with are bad but not installed yet so you can put better ones on. The biggest issue I've had with it is that a couple of the SA keycaps I have on the top row colide with the lip of the mid profile keyboard case, so depending on then angle you hit the keycap on it might not click the switch and you have to realign you finger or push harder to clear the edge of the case.
That being said I love the layout of this keyboard, with 4x4 numpad on the left and arrow keys on the lower right.
Can you reprogram the mouse buttons under the nub with vial? I would love to be able to program macros for my left thumb.
Also what is plugged into the usb-c port? Looks to shallow to be an aviator adapter?
Yes the 3 mouse buttons on the bottom are fully reprogrammable with vial.
I have Boffdock 7-Pin Magnetic Tips for quick swapping between boards. But it doesn't fill all of them (although most)

Actually the only F keys I've used very rarely in my life were F1, F2 and F5 and in the last couple of years I haven't needed them either. Note that I code for a living. All those could be accessed through layers anyway.
