Vegas isn’t really known for its McMansions but this one is…interesting for sure. Remove this post if it’s not applicable. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4-Caves-Valley-Ct-Henderson-NV-89052/59440284\_zpid/?utm\_campaign=iosappmessage&utm\_medium=referral&utm\_source=txtshare
What a cheap kitchen for such a big space. It’s like the kitchen in a cheap apartment in the corner of this huge room.
$2M asking price for builder grade trash.
It's a reflection of the buying audience for a house like this at the time of its construction. Even smaller homes have so much better kitchens nowdays.
I volunteer our ‘60’s GI build kitchen as tribute! Granted, it has been redone between the original owners, their son, and us.
Actual cooking can be done there as there is a vent for the stove - but not a lot of cooking because that is a smol kitchen for a yyuuugggee house.
And that vent is gonna be working overtime.
Lots of empty space and since it's in Nevada, the owners will be paying a lot to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Wow they could've done so much with this space and yet they did...nothing
The architecture is coherent. I'd call this one a Big Box instead of a McManse.
This one isn't all that bad TBH. It ain't great, but I've seen a lot worse on here.
At least the inside isn’t all grey and white
Essentially this
It just looks so void. The terracotta color craves ro be warm, but always fails in these examples
The interior is so ugly!
McMansion with a 1 bedroom apartment kitchen
What a POS
Overall, it is a nice place.
One of the weird things about the dramatic increase in home values is that the current owner has a different set point for how much to invest into a house than the new owner. The current owner bought the place in 2009 for $793K, and then proceeded to install cheap-ass LVP in the kitchen and living room. It sticks out because much of the rest of the house was actually nicely put together.
Thus had potential. Large rooms..quality materials. And yet this just …OK
Definitely lacking curb appeal. And think about how hot that enclosed concrete is in the summer.
"Hi! Here's your $1,500 a month bill for cooling this hideous monstrosity! You're welcome!"
My sister lived in Henderson, NV for years. That area was ground zero for the housing implosion that took down the economy in 2008. They built too many Mediterranean style McMansions. My point is basically that if it's not known for them now, it certainly was at one time.
This example is frankly, bland as all hell. That master bath could have been opulent with those columns. Instead, it's coated in drywall.
And I heard him exclaim, as he rode into the night, It's all builder grade basic, nary an upgrade in sight! 😢
Did Mom put the kitchen in time out or something?
Very bleak
Boring AF
Not a Mcmansion, just a big house
I hate that open concept kitchen. No one can convince me there is a value to that.
I don’t understand why people don’t design for even a bit of charm on the exterior. Those windows seem 100% designed from the inside, looking out with no regard for cohesion.
That Italianesqe Villa exterior is not bad. Nice proportions and not pretentious.
The interior is okay too. I imagine it’s simply a reflection of the owner’s tastes.
Centralized bathtub kinda rips though
The shrubbery sofa out front is an interesting choice.
Honestly, if not for the bathroom, it wouldn't be so bad.
If you go most East, around Hollywood blvd., it’s full of mcmansions.
Seems like whoever built and/or designed it really likes symmetry. Probably not exactly but from the pics it almost looks like it's one they just reversed and slapped it together as one big house
Another peninsula bathtub. Is this a trend?
This looks dead on like all the huge tract houses they're building on tiny lots in Goodyear, AZ, except this one has a very boxy addition on the right in the image.
The placement of the built-in fireplace and the TV irks me.
Vegas is definitely known for its McMansions lmao

Seems kinda dull for Vegas.
It looks like every other house in Vegas
This is just a house in Vegas.
Definitely fits in the McBland category.
this isn’t a mcmansion.
