My dad wants a navy blue Edgar jersey for Christmas but I can't find one on any of the mariners shop websites. I also can't find any customizable jerseys other than the home white. What should I do? Where can I find an official one?
I went to one of those shops across occidental from lumen field and tried to get a blue Edgar jersey made. They told me they couldn’t do because it needs to be licensed through the MLB.
So, I left and came back an hour later and ordered a custom jersey “for my dad”. I asked them to put his last name and birthdate on it. They asked what his last name is and I told them Martinez and he was born on the 11th. They made it for me without batting an eye.
So I suggest going this route. I hope it works out for you.
The Lynnwood mall has a Lids that customizes blank jerseys for $60. You just need to buy or provide the blank. That's how I got my wife a Naylor jersey last postseason when the official sites were sold out.
I would suggest calling the team store at T-Mobile Park. They can have one made if they don’t have one already in stock. The team store there can also ship almost anywhere in the country. The one drawback is that it may take a few days or weeks for them to get one made up.
This, they’re so helpful! And lots of the retired players are on the new color jerseys. They’re also so attentive to detail, I couldn’t find a women’s Raleigh jersey in the combo I wanted and they offered to add it to my old women’s Majestic jersey with the era appropriate letters/numbers… only to find they were out of GH and one of the numbers. But they absolutely could have made it happen if I was willing to wait or come back in the off season. They’re a great bunch in the store!
Fanatics (runs MLBshop and has a monopoly on sports merch) is terrible. Contact the team store on social media or email, and they'll hook you up. Might be kinda busy right now though
Personally, I don’t like how the Nike jerseys are faux stitched/heat pressed, so I went with an eBay seller, playerexclusiveco (or in this case Retro2Heritage), seems like they have old Majestic blanks and just work with that based off my research from Reddit. (Can even get special season patches alongside some jerseys)
Grey market of course, but for what you can get, probably would classify it as a tier higher than the usual Ali-specials, just not “official” but given the lack of accurate retros available beyond Nike/M&N, this is the route I went with for a jersey.

Fanatics has M&N BP jerseys. They were under $70 the other day. Edgar's was available

Might need to wait until after Christmas. Jerseys were pretty hard to get this year
