Want more Mariners discussion? Have you tried the Mariners discord?
We just got our hotel sorted to be in Seattle for all four of the Guardians games in March. I cannot wait.
Oh, that sounds epic.
Made a trip down to the team store today for some last minute gifts; damn did it feel good to be back "in" the park, even if it was just the team store. Made me realize just how badly I'm missing baseball right now.
I'm working out every day until the mariners win a world series
Today is day 63

We're in the dog days of winter. Both last season and the upcoming one feel so far away. I miss mariners baseball
Zach Pop somehow got a major league deal with the Phillies.
It was kind of fun, in a masochist sense, revisiting his 4 games on the Mariners.

The thing with relievers is it’s a lot easier to shuttle them up and down and DFA them all the time then it is for a starter so not surprising
Look on the bright side! Nine seconds more daylight today than yesterday. Twelve seconds added since the Winter Solstice! 🎵Here comes the sun🎵
Gotta love the people on Facebook who are like "oh never heard of this Refsnyder guy" and insinuate were dumpster diving. It's sad that some people dont know what a utility/bench guy is.
To be fair, in the past the team would say they would do what it takes to win and then have a signing like this be the biggest move they made all winter.
Now that he is just a small a piece and not the centerpiece, it is hard for some fans to realize that.
I think Mariners fans that are actually knowledgeable understand getting Refsnyder was a good move.
The default stance of "this team sucks, the owner is cheap, the GM is incompetent, and any move we make is bad" is a very hard one for this fanbase to give up on.
Thankfully now only 1/4 of those are true :-)
Our owner is medium-cheap; on the scale of MLB owners he’s nothing special in either direction. And payroll has gone up consistently every year recently.
Medium cheap is fair. Our payroll is almost in line with our revenue and market share relative to the rest of the league. Still slight room for improvement there.
You don’t have to go to Facebook for that, you can find it right here in this sub! I saw someone who was claiming that this was an anti-competitive move because Refsnyder isn’t Kyle Tucker
I hadn't heard of him... but I'm also not going to pretend like I know every player in the bigs
I'm not gonna pretend I heard of him either but at least when I saw the signing I looked up his stats and then made my own judgements. Seems like if its not a shohei signing then fans like to bitch and nit understand that benches and utility players are a thing
I mean I can see why they're hesitant... it's not like he's had a stellar career but yeah can't have a team of all stars at least not in Seattle
Those same people will be buying Refsnyder merch after the first big game he has.
then asking why he's a platoon guy the next game he's out
Your first mistake was using Facebook
Yeah it sucks lol I barely use it anymore. The kraken and Mariners pages are full of whiny bandwagoners
Do y'all day dream about our pitching staff being healthy from day could mean them returning to 2024 Oops All Aces form. Which paired with this line up that finally learned how to hit could mean the best Mariners team we've ever seen.
Would definitely be the best of this era, could see 100+ wins if that happens
2024 team era was 3.49 with a team WHIP at almost ONE. Also outside of Muñoz or pen wasn't great and the starters did a lot of the heavy lifting. Last year's line up ended the season averaging 4.7 runs a game. If the bats come back like last year and the pitching returns to full strength it feels like 100 might be the floor of the season. Am I crazy for thinking that?
Brash, Speier and Bazardo were all excellent last year. The non-leverage group was poor, but we had as strong a bullpen top 4 as any team.
Good morning everyone, only 93 more days until Opening Day!
Day 44 of saying Mariners Will Win
Today’s travel day, so expect a massive trade.
Been in the 60s and 70s lately in Denver and it's given me a false hope that baseball is near.
Hey there's another Mariners fan in Denver. I thought I was the only one.
I know someone who works for the Red Sox in the jersey making dept. She said Refsynder is a nice guy and that she is gonna miss him.
Welcome to the Refsnyder era
I genuinely believe that Tatis is going to be available for trade next season, hell, he may be sneaky available now. Gonna be an insane bidding war when he is.
Day 3 of jumping on the train that Mariners Will Win.
Mariners are a better team today than they were yesterday, that's nice.
