Same buddy. That being said, it’s such a new feeling to be so invested with the M’s and a playoff run straight into the Seahawks and an upcoming playoff run (officially now).
I just messaged my friend this last night, how is it possible for both Mariners and Seahawks to be good at the same time? He pointed out that apparently the Kraken made the sacrifice this year. :(
I love all of Seattle sports but the comeback win last night for the Hawks and the kraken playoff run a few years ago, I'm not an emotional wreck sweating bullets. I don't think there's another Seattle team like the Mariners that would get me so invested.
Uh BTW Hawks are 12-3? Do they have a legit shot at the super bowl?
They do. There are concerns, however. Darnold hasn’t been very effective the last few games and the running game hasn’t been as productive as it needs to be. However, they have the talent to make a serious run with a few adjustments.
That'd be awesome, I know that week 18 game is HUGE idk all the scenarios but if we lose against the miners then we have to probably go in as the 5 seed. Getting that 1 seed is crucial
My suggestion? Have a 4 year old who knows how to navigate YouTube. He goes right for the highlight reels every time. Then he plays other teams' highlights and repeatedly asks his parents to pick a team they want to win. He loves it when it's some combination of Dodgers/Yankees/Astros because Mama and Papa refuse to pick a team.
There has been baseball in our house every day since the end of the season.
Much as I love watching the Seahawks, especially last night, I miss the Mariners. I love that daily rhythm of baseball and how the game ends and flows every single day with what happens in the league. It’s just like breathing.
After that alcs game 7 I really didn't care to watch the playoffs. Usually I don't but I really didn't. Game 7 I had it on the background and was rooting for the Dodgers out of spite lmao.
As a 27 yr old fan, this run in the 2020s has definitely been the most fun to watch. Can't wait to see more
Me too. We’re under 100 days till opening day, 97 to be exact. I feel like a kid counting down till summer break in winter lol
Me too buddy, me too.
Literally the exact words I muttered after reading the post title. Sigh.
Been collecting baseball cards for the offseason lol

Totally! Tonight’s comeback game reminded me of M’s ball. Here for the heart attacks!
It’s not a true Seattle win without a little heart failure along the way

The Kraken will have their time.
Absolutely they will.
Won't be soon though, lol
We'll get to see Cal, Julio, and Josh in the WBC before we know it :)
Which one will we trade for Steve Kwan?
What are you talking about
The Kraken usually entertain me in the offseason but for some reason that’s not cutting it this year…
Yeah I just follow their box scores for the most part but man they've been rough lately

Getting the #1 seed means we have a much easier path to the NFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl. I like our chances in any home playoff game.
mariner 😔

Me, too.
I hate the NBA.
Regular-season hockey does nothing for me (I am an Islanders fan).
My Vikings sucked this year.
Me three buddy.
Pitchers and catchers report in about 6 weeks!
It was such a fantastic season. I miss it as well.
53 days until pitchers and catchers report (approximately)
Mariner.
Mariner.
Me too, I just booked my first ever trip to Spring Training

i’m thinking of going to Spring Training, i don’t think i can wait for regular season :)))
Waiting for the bus last night and watching all the bundled up Seahawks fans made me miss getting bundled for an April or May M’s game.
God I miss it so much. And then my heart hurts. But then I remember I might be going to spring training…so that’s fun! GOMS.
Me 2
Me too brother
Samesies times a thousand, my dude. ✌🏼
Same. I enjoy other sports a lot, but nothing hits like baseball does.
We're going to need to have Aaron Goldsmith be broadcasting all games no matter which network they are on.

I sure as fuck don't miss the drunk asshole fans crowding the light rail after every home game like a sardine can.
