New Christmas presents, ser cpp2 in olive and able carry max edc in ripstop tan. Both bought on black Friday deals but been saved for Xmas. Already have the cpp2 in black so familiar with the bag but the able carry max edc....wow what a bag
Yes. I have both and the AC is what I carry to work. I can carry more stuff when I needed if I don’t use the water bottle pocket, which I never do as EDC.
I'm going to Japan soon and have been eyeing either one of these bags to get for casual work + gym + EDC. The Able Carry looks way bigger here. Which one do you think will look the best? I carry one laptop, my chargers, extra mouse, gym clothes including shoes and some other things, which now easily fit my Thule aion 28L.
I was worried about max edc being a bit too big but I think it's fine. I work all over the UK and the amount of times I leave home in the summer and forget to bring a hoodie or a light jacket and the day goes cooler so the max edc front pocket should help me by leaving something in there full time but the aer cpp2 I don't think I would have the luxury of that space so if you carry gym kit I'd definitely say the max edc would be more suited

No, I love bags probably more than most people here. I just hate pure overconsumption that makes no sense at all and this is clearly it. You know you can love a hobby without spending unnecessarily, right? You don't have to race towards the stupidest purchase ever just to brag about it online, you know?
I think a good parallel would be that people own suits of different colours and fabrics. Or even t-shirts. Like you I'm trying to avoid overlap in use case but I can totally understand that someone who would have a specific use case would simply want to change things up within.
I cam certainly understand why would someone do it, but in this use case, we are downgrading some of the best backpacks in the world down to the basic fashion accessories which is just plain sad.

But among outdoor apparel, some do place then under “equipment”. But only if the backpack uses an extensive harness that’s usually adjustable, and can carry a much higher payload.

I have multiple bags with multiple purposes so that I can carry my stuff most effectively for various situations. To have multiple pieces of the same bag in different colors is absolutely ridiculous and makes literally no logical sense whatsoever. It's a fucking bag, not a Pokémon card.
Unless you admit you are buying them as a fashion statement which is even more ridiculous. Which further proves my point - there is no logical explanation for why would anyone do that, ergo, it's utter bullshit that should definitely not be celebrated.
How do you like the AC Max EDC compared to the Aer CPP2? Does it feel much bigger? Is it worth the splurge if I already own the CPP2?
Feels bigger and the front pocket looks more useful then the aer front pocket although haven't used it yet

Has something like a piece of plastic between the inner and outer layers

Hard but feels enough protection, the entire bag feels quality
