Edit: How embarrassing, lol. Should be Pocket Dump
I've gotten a few questions on a post and some comments regarding what this bag can carry. This is what I have in here now, with room on the main compartment to spare. I could maybe even refine my organization and get more space out of it, but there's no need at present. I could probably throw in a Pocket Bible, some toothpick holders and pill capsules (yes, I've become my grandfather), and not pictured is my phone which also fits in a dedicated pocket.
Items are add follows, beginning at the Travalo in the top left.
Travalo Classic spray bottle, with lens cleaner.
Spudz large microfiber
Samsung Galaxy Buds
Anker Nano Ultra Slim power bank
ChapStick
Eye Drops
Olight I1r
Glasses case w/ glasses
Anker Nano 1ft. USB C to C
Bellroy Card Sleeve w/ business cards
GKD Pixel 2, and I have a face shield that pops on for additional screen protection
OHTO pen (and pencil I forgot to lay out)
USB C to C keychain by A.S
Sandisk Extreme Pro Dual USB drive 2tb
T-Mobile tracker
Keys plus Stylepie USB C to C plus SD reader.
Like I said, I could put more in here, but so far I'm covered with this.
Question for everyone. What are your "must carry" items in your pockets or in your bag?
Great post, thanks. I'm still trying to decide which Toshi size I'd like - I think they would all serve a purpose and fit a niche, which is part of the problem!
This is true. I own all 3 sizes and use them for different occasions!
I think 2 at most. I need bigger than the 5L or 6L for any occasion beyond edc. So for me the 2.5L was everything I needed and then some. But I could see grabbing the 5L or 6L as well. I'm not stoked about the padded strap so the 5L is more appealing to me out of the two, but the choice is yours!
You can pull the padded strap off if you want. It’s fully removable. The 6l has two mesh pockets in the front pocket, which I love.
Ah. Didn't know that. Most that I'm familiar with are permanent fixtures. Thanks for the heads up
what do you keep in the spray bottle
Sorry, should have clarified. Lens cleaner for my glasses.
Bare minimum: Wireless earbuds (Nothing Ear 3), 10000 mAh battery (Anker), usb-c to usb-c cable, hand sanitizer, and my mini first aid kit.
If I plan to be out for more than a few hours: I’ll also add a gaming handheld (e.g., Ayn Thor or Switch) OR my Kindle Paperwhite. If I know there will be wall outlets where I’m going, I’ll also add a wall adapter for charging so I don’t waste my battery. I will even bring a small water bottle if I know drinks are expensive where I’m going.
Awesome! I picked up several Anker slim chargers before they switched to the new Nano design. The two 20W are super slim, and the 45W is only marginally thicker. They make phenomenal pocket carry wall chargers. I'll probably add one of those to this bag. Good idea!
I’m so tempted to buy this bag, but it just looks so… weird/ugly 😩
I can see that, but to me it just looks "right." I can't describe it otherwise. It's almost organic and natural looking or something.
Downsized from the og Toshi 5L to 2.5L and couldn't be happier. Fits my daily carry perfectly. The only thing it can't do is fit a thin 20L bottle inside but I don't like to carry water in the slings anyways so nbd.
I'm guessing you can't get it in the straps on the bottom then? I have a Larq/Nomatic collab that would work quite well there.
It probably could but I don't like seeing it all bulky like that haha. I don't like to carry too much weight in a sling
Yeah, i haven't attempted it for that reason. But I like that I have the option, lol. This bag definitely gives you options.
Crazy what sit fits in the 2.5L right?
Yes, it's pure sorcery, I tell you!
I have rhe 5L and my tour guides in India both called it my “magic bag” because anytime we needed something, I could pull it out of my bag. I’ve literally fit my lunch in there. It’s a perfect size for me to travel. Also it’s small enough that I clip it into my bookbag when I need to take my laptop and it just becomes a fancy tech pouch.
I love the unobtrusive lash points. It makes it so much easier to attach to the outside of other bags. Or to just turn it into another pouch to toss in another bag.
Does it fit kindle?
Hmmm, how big is your kindle? I don't think you'd get it in the phone pocket, but I've got clearance in the main pocket for probably a device that's 5x8. You'd want to protect the screen though.
