I have many thoughts. It looks cool and it’s very rugged. But it’s huge compared to what it holds. The straps take up a lot of room and then the inside is so divided and padded that anything you put it in is tight. I found the front pocket space to be so oddly shaped that almost nothing was really convenient there. I’d think of it as a briefcase with backpack straps rather than a backpack with a briefcase mode. And I guess if concealed carry is a question, it offers that, too.
The front and main compartment have a vertical divider. It’s a good design choice because it allows you quick access to the front, but for my uses the main compartment was just a tad too small because of that. If that divider was floating or they had made the front compartment with less depth, that would make the main compartment more versatile.
I got a great deal on one via local Facebook Marketplace. I really like the concept of convertible bags, but I found the internal dividers made the compartments too tight as a backpack and the bag is pretty fat to carry on the shoulder strap. If you want a laptop and documents oriented commuter bag it’s fine.
I have one and use it when commuting light. It's a great bag but I've never used it as a backpack. I have more than a few backpacks that work way better as a pack.
I have one. It’s fine but is not the most comfortable to carry. I like to use my Tom Bihn Western Flyer better. The reason is that it fits better under the airplane seat. An alternative bag to also consider is the Black Ember Forge.
I currently use the larger one as my knife/tool kit at work and when I’m traveling for work. I got it secondhand, had to replace the shoulder strap. But, beyond that it has served me well so far. Quality construction, just enough organization to be useful but not overwhelming

i appreciate the detail in your review <3
Very well built, and loved the front rip. I ended up selling mine because it has a center divider that limited what I wanted to put in it.
wdym by that? are you talking about how there's a seperate laptop compartment or is there something else?

I have the tan version, I like it. Comfortable and practical design.
