Again, a pivot of Case and Bruno, our midfield is nonexistent. In fact, it's even emptier through the middle now; we don't even have 3 CBs behind that pivot.
Besides, Mbuemo on the left is terrible, if you've noticed, and there's no Mbuemo-Amad partnership anymore; they're on opposite sides.
A more sensible approach would be to sit Sesko down, have Mbuemo up top, Amad on the right, and Cunha on the left, with Bruno in the 10, Case-Ugarte/Mainoo in the pivot, in front of a back four. Again, none of that Mbuemo-Amad connection on the right, which is what I meant.
Also, Cunha up top is very nonsensical imo, especially with our set of players. He's more of a drive up through the middle kinda guy. We need a striker who's good at either running down the flanks or being the touch-and-go in the middle, both of which Sesko's actually quite good at, although he hasn't been able to convert any of them chances yet. Cunha would do well on the left or in the 10 tho.
Yeah, its really Sesko that is the one likely to sit. I'd prefer Bruno at the 10 and then whatever front 3, but I suppose I'm still looking at the team with Amorim eyes, which keeps him next to Casemiro. Ugarte hasn't looked bad recently and Mainoo has a fresh start, so assuming a formation change, either of them have a shot to step in. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like when everyone is back/healthy and who stays or goes.
Don't kid me , uguarte has been better than mainoo in that no6 role , i would be surprised if mainoo started over uguarte after he shat the bed in every sub.
Glasner is unlikely to leave. He will have access to better players than Palace but still the fundamental problem is that the players have struggled often with the 3-4-3 and despite how Glasner may be a lot better, the fundamental problem will still show.
Well, then I'm expecting more of the same. Glasner sets his teams up a lot more suicidally than Amorim, imo, he expects a lot more work from the team, and he won't get it. Wharton and Hughes do a lot of running and are decent ball progressors too. Case, Ugarte or Mainoo cannot relate. Clyne and Mitchell in the midfield are powerful runners as well, and our options are Dalot, Dorgu, and Amad when he returns. Old Shaw is the closest profile we could get to a wingback of Glasner's style, and we don't have that anymore.
Board thinks they're silencing anyone criticizing their decisions. The critics are laughing all the way to the bank.
Pride only hurts, especially pride that's undeserved by the current board.
United were never the 'greatest club in Europe'. If they were, they'd have more UCL trophies than they do currently. I choose to think of man united, with no disrespect intended, as a club that loves punching above their weight. Two of our most recent Champions League wins weren't based on merit. One was a last ditch heist job, the other was rain-soaked slippery luck.
That's what I think of Man United. It's a football heist club. We're the party crashers, the bombers. Having said that, Pep Guardiola has changed football (for better or worse, only time will tell) and United are still stuck in the Glory days, trying to find a manager who can
a) create a system that doesn't suck with players that aren't top picks for signings at bigger clubs. We're not winning trophies enough
b) that ideal manager should utilize the players he's given to their best, even though the training facilities, the stadium and facilities are dated
Worst of all is the delusion that we are still a big club. We're not, not even top 4. Players know this, their agents know this, and all the other clubs know it. But our PRIDE still makes us think we're big. The media hypes us up, the agents laugh when they hear United are interested in a signing, knowing they're about to make bank. The rot will continue. Fans will keep sending money to glazers and ineos. The red devil keeps getting conned, an edgy man-child punk that suits see and smile, knowing they'll milk something out of the devil's pride.
Return of the back four means my favourite baldy and Amadinho can't play on the same side again ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Sesko
Mbueno, Cunha, Amad
Casemiro, Bruno
Pick a back 4
Lammens
I assume something like this, unless Sesko sits and Cunha is up top

Don't try talking actual football sense, it's frowned upon in these subs
Oh? My bad, then.

Mainoo is very headless without the ball tho, so I do think Ugarte would do a better job for now, but yes.
I think it’ll be Bruno as false 9 while Sesko sits out with kobbie coming in midfield 3
would love to see Mason Mount in number 10 position, but it's really hard to choose between Mason and Cunha.
Ahh we still have the same pivot Case and Bruno as midfielder.
Horrible. Bruno in 10 or on bench, Case, Kobbie pivot
Unless we get Glasner right?
Glasner is unlikely to leave. He will have access to better players than Palace but still the fundamental problem is that the players have struggled often with the 3-4-3 and despite how Glasner may be a lot better, the fundamental problem will still show.
I just read that he is open to playing 4-4-2. Bit weird considering that’s an opposite formation to 3-4-3
Isn’t the 4-4-2 a bit out of fashion right now?Â
Yep.
At least players at least have played it while climbing the ranks at least on a few occasionsÂ
Glasner is better than amorim?? He literally defeated him bud 🤣

And two fletcher boys in their spots
