Yeah, this time I think the image has been designed poorly, it’s too dark, not enough contrast. Took me about 30 seconds of unfocusing and then I only saw it for about half a second before it disappeared. With clearer contrast, the image usually pops into place within 5-10 seconds for me. I think it’s the image.
To me it looks like a rip in reality. Why is there a horizontal bar running the entire image and the image falls away inside that like looking at mountains? Wtf.
Hey lavaboosted,
One differences between the two different viewing styles is that crossview people prefer wider pattern widths. Apparently in this style, most people can see images with really large pattern repeats. Before I started getting lazier, I used to make the pattern repeats at 230 pixels or wider (I used 150 pixel width patterns for parallel view). This one looks like it's pattern repeats are sub 100 pixels to me (which generally would be fine for parallel view viewers). Often I found I liked my crossview patterns more because I could do more with them : ).
Thanks again for agreeing to mod and posting here!
Both for this one and one you posted last week, I feel like the crossview is not as good as the parallel view...
In this one, it feels like we're missing some details on the "neck" (sorry, I don't know how to name that part), whereas the parallel view is full of details
I used to only be able to do cross-eye, but maybe now practice made parallel easier for me...
Some kind of table lamp, but it's not great, and using cross eye just feels wrong, like I can't tell what it is with parallel view, but it at least doesn't hurt my eyes
I was gonna say flower. the extra-dimensionality is not so difficult as the determination of the form, which I usually can interpret... after reading the responses. Fun all the same.
You have to make the image pop in front of your monitor, 3-D style. Focus on a point in front of the monitor and when you get it, it'll "float" between you and the monitor.
It’s not a straight up image for me. The main part is like a hole and the rest of it is this cavernous area inside of that hole. It’s tricky because magic eye is usually things that pop. The detail here is actually sunken in.
It’s a lamp but I only see it as the negative where the background is forward and the lamp is the void. Looking at it cross eyed makes it look right though.
So I'm typically very good at these 99% I'd say but this one I can see but my brain doesn't recognize what I'm seeing, further more I Can even see the center object without the 3D effect, but when I sync with the pic. The whole bottom ¼ actually drops back the image appears as a hole and the top ¾ of background is in the extreme forefront. Still no idea what im looking at?
i don't know, why many of your have troubles with this one. this is the first one in a decade, that pops out of the image for me instead of being impressed. i usually see them 'inverted'
I got it but don’t know what it is.🤷♀️
Pixar lamp?
Excuse me, their name is Luxo Jr.
I also saw the Pixar lamp tilting down and you can see the bulb too.
I thought it was a batter in a baseball game. The color scheme is so bad it's hard to make out what I'm actually seeing.
2 horses?
I got it, but only for a split second. Normally it isn’t that hard to hold the image.
Same. The worst one I’ve ever seen tbh.

Yup, disappears every time I try to see the bulkier part in the top left. Never had an issue with any other Magic Eye in my life.
Me too...
My explanation would be, that it is on the phone and in a small screen...
Ok, so im not alone. Yeah. I was wondering why my eyes weren't holding that focus. I'm usually great at these lol
I can't tell if it's a flower or a lamp or if my eyes are just too crossed.
I think it's some sort of table lamp with rounded edges on the shade, similar to the lamp covers you see in traditional Victorian style lamps.
I think you messed this one up. When seen correctly the lamp is actually doubled.
Edit: I was using the normal Magic eye method. This convex one was tricky but I did it! William has finally seen the sailboat!!!
Holy shrimp i read the tips on how to do crossview and there it was plain as day! I can even see how the background is concave at the middle!!!
It looks doubled to me too. I was so confused over what it was supposed to be.
I’m pretty sure you’re overshooting it. Try it on a larger screen.
I will later and let you know.
To me it looks like a rip in reality. Why is there a horizontal bar running the entire image and the image falls away inside that like looking at mountains? Wtf.
This is the crossview sub. You’re doing the standard magic eye method which is parallel view.
Here is the regular version.
Til. Dang. My apologies, it was just a promoted post on my feed. I did not know there was a difference.
Yeah, it must be everyone else who’s wrong.

Nailed it. That is exactly the problem I was having. I knew where to look and eventually got it, but it felt too close together.
Thanks for the tip I’ll give that a try on the next one.
Hard for everyone. I got it put it took a sec
Looks like the Pixar Lamp to me
Pixar Lamp
Looked like a desk lamp to me. Weather its the pixar 1 🤷♂️
it’s inverted, right?
If you’re doing parallel view, which is the standard method for magic eye, then yes. This sub is for crossview tho
ha, I didn’t even know that was thing, cool. man its waaaay easier to do when you read the sub name
I see... something, but I think my monitor's refresh rate is making me lose focus on it.
Pics are* ISWYDT
That's amazing
Easy
WOAH.. THIS WAS MY FIRST MAGIC EYE THAT I COULD SEE
IT POPPED OUT?? THE THING THE LAMP WAS STANDING ON WAS 3D????

yeah something went wrong with this one.
I can’t even see it at all T-T
I can see the lower half perfectly. The upper half is just blurry for me. (but I'm viewing this at my tiny phone screen)
Thought it was siren head
Some kind of table lamp, but it's not great, and using cross eye just feels wrong, like I can't tell what it is with parallel view, but it at least doesn't hurt my eyes

How do you even look at these? I could never even figure it out.
I see something but idk what. A boxer on guard?
I'm not a fan of the negative Magic Eyes they tend to hurt my eyes
... like a... flower desk lamp? Is that a thing?
I only see sailboat. Like a schooner
I never see these.
This is a crossview.

all your images are inverted and look wrong.
You’re doing parallel view which is the standard method for r/magiceye
Aw cool! A schooner!
It’s a sailboat!
A schooner is a sailboat, stupid-head!
I know what it is… but why don’t you tell me what it is so I know you know…
It's a schooner!
I thought it was a flower
Have they ever made one of these with boobs? I'm sure a lot more people would know how to do it if they did.
Impossible for some.
I see Ray Charles.
I'm getting the general shape but it's negative for some reason.
You’re doing the regular magic eye method called parallel view where you actually diverge your eyes instead of crossing them. Try this one instead.
This sub is for crossview magic eyes.
It’s a schooner
It’s not a straight up image for me. The main part is like a hole and the rest of it is this cavernous area inside of that hole. It’s tricky because magic eye is usually things that pop. The detail here is actually sunken in.
It’s like it wants to be a lamp but when the 3D effect takes effect it’s like inverted

Yes. Extremely difficult for us color blind folks! Impossible really.
There are some black and white ones that I don’t think color blindness should affect at all.
This one for example.
This one is parallel view but is pretty much black and white as well
Whatever software made this is buggy. It's a Pixar lamp, but it's full of holes and artifacts.
I see it but no clue what it is
I’ve never been able to see these damn things. Not elementary not middle school not high school and not now….. fuuuuuck!
I saw half a person bent over butt out
I’m seeing a “negative” image, with an image appearing through a hole in the main image.

Oooooh. It’s a sailboat
not well made
I can never see these… 😔
I have never seen anything in one of those.

OP, help me out if ya know.
It looks more like a flower.
Finally some magic eyes in cross-view. I can never do the parallel viewing ones. Thank you!
I can get it, but it’s tough to hold for long or ID
Lamp!
I just see a hole 😂
Normally I can see these pictures instantly but this one is a bit messed up.
It's a skooner.
I thought it was some artsy geometric flower.
I’m still convinced that there is nothing in those pictures and everyone is lying just to freak me out.
This one requires convergence of your eyes as opposed to divergence
i love lamp

This is the worst one I have ever seen, the color layering makes my eyes refocus as soon as they shift in the slightest.
This one sucks
