Something I have been watching with a lot of urgency in this set is the number of ways to remove counters at common and uncommon. So far we don't have many.
This can, but only once per turn and only if you are dedicated Elves. So if you play this turn 4 (to give you time to bin an Elf or have one die) and have an elf in your yard, you can blight 1 that turn or blight 2 the next and keep this around albeit weaker unless you can stall out the game.

Would be neat if they made an inverse of [[Doubling Season]], where it would double the number of counters you remove.
