Interesting. Possibly better late game removal than [[Abrade]] for significantly worse early game. Most likely never main decked outside of limited, but maybe replaces a copy or two of Abrade in big creature decks.
You're absolutely correct, but if a deck is doing big dumb Red/Gruul things, it might make a few sb slots as a cheapish flexible removal spell that can take down bigger creatures. Abrade is obviously the better card, but it doesn't kill big stuff, and this does.
It's not strictly worse. Abrade is locked at 3 damage. This is variable damage, depending on what creatures you have. In lesson decks, for example, with a prowess otter token, the floor is 2 damage.
you can make up scenarios where any card out performs another. a swamp can't be blown out with an [[opposition agent] yet a [[marsh flats]] can, but im always going to say that hands down marsh flats is a way stronger card
This is such an odd effect for red (the first one). I usually see that in green. It's not like Rakdos actually needed more removal but I guess this would be funny with deathtouch creatures. I think honestly in standard, if this ends up seeing play, it's 90% of the time just to destroy Mounment to Endurance.
Why would it be? It is made for killing giants (even if that is not sensible to do with a damage spell/artifact destruction spell). Whenever we had a kindred spell in the past, they have been something they would do, like [[tar fire]] is clearly something a goblin would do, [[crip swap]] is something a changeling would do. They are not spells for killing goblins/changelings (even if they can do that). It would make sense for this to be a giant kindred if this was the giant killing some other type of creature.

Nah, this is a lot worse than it looks because it gets countered by interaction

A bite effect in red sounds neat.

One more for the feet tribal deck.
I like the elves with their hooved feet
funny that this is uncommon yet worse than abrade that is common

If the giant falling on something is what's doing the damage, I wish it did damage equal to toughness. More damage with a bigger butt!
Toes 🤤
What the hell is going on in that art? Is his right leg in the foreground? And left one in the air? Really weird.
Yes, he is mid fall
falling sideways, away from camera
Well if his feet were placed how you’d expect them to be he probably would’ve kept his balance
that is one dirty big a$$ foot though!
Worse than abrade in just about every aspect
Expect the obvious can do more than 3 dmg
Ah yes, but it can potentially do less than 3 dmg, which makes it the worst card ever printed and completely and totally unplayable, actually
100% worst card ever, especially for limited it will never see play
