This started off as a matchbox (I think) helicopter, and some bits from the junk bin. My son and I had made a bunch of these mad max toys for him to play with after we watched fury road.
I had that same matchbox 'copter as a kid. I always loved it cos it looked like the same make/model as the heli from the movie Blue Thunder. (The 2nd coolest film chopper after Airwolf)
Look into the game Gaslands. It's a tabletop racing game using this exact thing. There's even kids rules. My kids love it
