My manager asked if I'm interested in staying. I said yes. She said there is a pt position available and I need to go online and apply for it, is that normal. It would be going from fragrance to cosmetics. Do I still have the video interview, with the why do you wanna work at Macy's question etc. Seems redundant why would she need to interview me again?
Great job! It means you impressed that manager. To me, that means you are the person's top candidate for the position if you decide to take it.
When I was offered a position, I pretty much applied for the open position. The next day the hiring manager sent me an offer. Like someone said, it was a "formality."

Yes it's normal to apply for the position, it's just paperwork "formalities". You should not have to do the video, my seasonal that moved to permanent did not, he just had to fill out the app.
