Same robot - different camera angle. The robot is new and not in use. The location is in the RedDot Industrialdesign museum.

  • whoa this is much better than that other post on here about the kukar

You have to move the robot through doors somehow. I was confused, too. The frontview looks so small and compact, the sideview is impressive.

  • Is there an annual trade show I, a layperson, could attend where robot makers demonstrate their wares?

Automate. It’ll be in Chicago in 26.

  • Fun fact.

    Kuka means fuck-up in Swedish.

    Kuk means penis.

  • Kuka robots are great, commissioned a robot welding cell with an r1820 through wrist with the KRC4 controller.

Thing was working nearly 24/7 for 5 years. Went back to that installation 5 years later. I setup a dial indicator and ran some repeatability tests.

This thing was still at +/- 0.05mm after 5 years of hell. Paint burning off it, hard hard work running a mig torch. Crazy stuff

  • Kuka makes amusement rides out of these arms too. Universal islands of adventure has one of them. It's a very unique ride system

  • Kuka robots are dominant in the Mercedes Benz factory in Sindelfingen Germany, saw them at many factory tours. Kuka also means “who” in the Finnish language 🤣

  • MSC cruises has a Kuka that it uses for an amusement ride.

  • Filthy clanker
