Hello guys, I have a question about MARPE. Since I’m planning to do it while studying during one of the most stressful years at uni, I’d really appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thank you!
2-3 weeks. First day after install is pretty bad pain 8/10. Then it’s tolerable but I had a few days where I was just exhausted. Then the day it breaks I had a headache all day.
Experience varies a fair amount from what I’ve seen. For me the pain the first 1-2 days was bad, then again around days 9-10 or so (I split day 5). Biggest concrete recs I can say: (1) keep a huge bag of ice chips. At some pts were the only things that relieved the pain for me and I went through them very quickly, (2) be in touch with your ortho regularly and don’t be afraid to slow down turning (upon their rec) if it’s causing a lot of pain. For me I was turning 1x/day and then around days 5-6 slowed to once every other day for a few days, and I’m very glad I did. Oh also (3) talk to your ortho about pain management the first day or two. My ortho didn’t prescribe anything other than Tylenol/ibuprofen but fortunately I had one tramadol pill laying around from a previous procedure and that was a lifesaver.

How long that takes approximately? because im in premed skl and literally its so stressful and pain will disturb my focus, Did painkiller helped ?
