• No CBCT scan is wild red flag ngl

How is not offering cbct a red flag many people just get it done outside. This is just a stupid comment

bug eyed jeet pretending to know what he's talking about (again)

  • Yes it’s good. Results are good but could probably use a little more expansion. MARPE’s are not difficult if planned correctly.

  • Those results look fine but it also looks like a young patient. As people get older, the palate will respond to force in different ways that can be detected through CBCT, and the plan can be adjusted for more screws, different screw placements, etc. If they don’t have imaging in house, they don’t seem very invested in the practice and likely use a similar plan with every patient.

I doubt they will perform screw insertions and removals in house either and that will get referred out and billed separately. Follow up visits might also get billed separately, and those are absolutely necessary to check that expansion is symmetrical.

If you’re older than 25 I would go with a provider that will only start with CBCT.

Thank you for your response man yea i agree. The only thing keepin me from goin with the is how cheap it is, $1500 and the clinic near me in la is $4800 with cbct scan

$4800 is reasonable. I paid about $8000 in LA not including insertions and removals. I didn’t want to leave anything to chance with a provider who hadn’t worked a case as complicated as mine.

  • Insane good price, go for it. Cbct scans can be done in a different praxis
