I am attaching here the image of this cat that I have seen online for years, but it is so familiar: i thought it came from a japanese film that i love, but upon rewatching it is not the same cat (hausu 1977) https://cl.pinterest.com/pin/734016439292001866/

My partner and I did some digging and found out it was posted one of the very first times on tumblr by this user: https://mercy-merci.tumblr.com/post/52617655786#notesAlthough we are sure it's not the first time it was online.

We also found an artist under the name Leslie Catfat who happens to have it as their profile pic since 2013, around the time this cat pic was everywhere... could she be the owner and creator of the asset?I feel like i have seen this image so many times and it's so familiar, I would love to know your thoughts and if you can pinpoint where youve seen it in the past! (a film? an edit? ) would love any guesses!

Just looks like a photo of a random cat with a basic photoshop filter on it.

I doubt there's much lore there.
