I wonder if the auto high beams sensors are broken in 99% of cars with high beams sensors. It feels like every Teslur has them on at all times. As a small car driver, I hate Teslur more than other brands.
Auto highbeams suck tbh. I tried them out driving through the mojave before dawn once. So many false positives catching a reflective sign, catching a car coming from the other side of a highway median where they wouldn't be affected by the light at all, or just not catching cars on a road without a median. That experiment lasted for like 10 mins then I was back to just hitting them on and off manually. It was on a toyota fwiw.
I think Tesla’s auto high beam programming is pretty good now (used to be awful). But I see a lot of older Model 3/Y have pretty poor beam control and lots of poorly aimed headlights. I think they Tesla can’t be bothered to aim the headlights before they leave the factory.

I went to see Justice on tour and they played this song after the show ends (for context their live performance also includes an impressive but blinding light show). There's a portion at the beginning of the show that feels exactly like getting blasted by high beams lol.
I see so many newer luxury cars using auto high beams on the west side. It should be outlawed. Even the best auto high beams can’t react quickly enough to avoid blinding traffic in the city.
Trucks haven't been at bad as Tesla SUVs in my experience. Teslas come default with their headlights flipped up to the highest setting so they don't even need brights to blind me.
If they’re behind you, adjust your side mirrors to stick all the way out and it’ll deflect towards them. I know it works because everytime I’ve done this to an asshole with ridiculous headlights, they either change lanes immediately or slow down to get away from me. Also had a guy who I did this too who was riding my ass and blinding me with his lights, change lanes, pull up next to me, and shine his actual flashlight at me before speeding off like a little bitch. Anyway, it works like a charm
EDIT: just remember to fix your side mirrors after they are no longer tailing you
I've never had one shine a flashlight at me after doing the mirrors trick 🤣🤣 I keep one in my center console for work now I'm gonna have to keep it somewhere to quick draw

I've noticed roughly 1 in 5 drivers in the county anymore is driving with their brights on. It's literally making my night vision worse being blinded by them.
You can’t just flash them. Leave them on and then turn your car towards them a bit so they’re directly in the high beam. If I’m in my sprinter van, I’ll drive right at them to startle them a bit.
Also, on cars with separate high bulbs, if you pull the light stalk towards you instead of flipping forward, both your high and low bulbs will illuminate.
Not really just dont get limo tint that would 100% fuck you up.
Get something thats not too dark. It make a world of difference. If you have bad eyes or need glasses to drive at night I obviously wouldn't recommend it.

They have some bike lights that are really fucking bright too if you want to fight back. Look for the ones where it has a wire running to a separate battery pack.

You shouldn’t even be allowed to use auto high beams in the city IMO. It used to be that you only used high beams on poorly lit country roads.
Many large trucks seem to either have their high beams on or have blinding led headlights installed

These lights were so bright. I couldn’t refocus my vision for a few min after we made our turn. Luckily I was the passenger.
Another 20% have their daytime running lights on with no tail lights. People don't know how their cars work anymore.

Make sure you clean it inside and outside and also at night driving with the defog on helps alot. Youll still be blind but its more bearable lol
