I’m on day 6 of the worst head cold I’ve ever had. I’ve tested negative for both COVID and Flu. I didn’t have a fever or chills, so I do think it’s highly likely it’s just a head cold. It’s been miserable.

I wasn’t SICK sick this week, but the first couple days this week I definitely had something going on in my chest/lungs… it was like that feeling when it’s raw right before you get really sick. Then a couple days of headaches and tiredness and only today feeling back to normal since Monday.
I am having the most monstrous sickness. Wednesday night stomach sickness from hell. Not noro like I wasn’t shitting my pants but so much horrible pain and nausea. I have a sensitive stomach and allergies so like I’m not wimpy and used to barfing but it was for really horrible. Some vomiting Thursday night. Friday night I finally thought it was over then didn’t sleep ALL night. Woke up today still messed up stomach but now sore throat, sneezing, nose running, hell. I’m in so much body pain. I can’t tell if I’m just destroyed from lack of sleep from the stomach stuff and sore from the weird sleep positions and throwing up and not taking my allergy meds for days or if I’ve got the flu now too. First days of stomach sickness I had zero cold/flu symptoms so now I’m just confused?! Stomach bug to head cold monster idk I’m miserable! I haven’t been this ill in years!

It’s the air quality. I have been feeling tired and have had a sore throat all week. Wear a really good mask when you go outside; set your car fan to recycle; close all your windows and run your air purifier or central fan.
Every time I dip into LA for work or fun and if the trip so great, I catch a fucking cold/flu/covid. If the trip sucks donkey balls with worst traffic, hangups, etc then I am fine. Seems like just the huge number of people we come across daily is the determining factor.

went to whole foods in downtown. went in real quick to buy a cake. came out to the car and i knew i caught something. wednesday til now. thursday was the worst. slept like 14hrs. mucus in the lungs and coughing. taking antibiotics. i cant imagine if i didnt have the meds.
My wife and I are, it’s rough enough I’m considering getting a Covid test from CVS tomorrow. It started last Tuesday night as a mild sore throat, woke up pretty sick Wednesday with sore throat, all of the sinus symptoms, crazy fatigue, cold sweats, and joint pain. Then Thursday night I got a really bad cough and everything is still lingering, some symptoms are getting better but my cough has gotten worse and isn’t getting better.
I haven’t been sick for this long in a while. I’m really annoyed at this point and hope it’s better tomorrow. My wife started feeling a sore throat last night and has had the same progression. It seems like it takes a couple days to start showing symptoms and for it to progress to the worst of it.

And wear a well-fitted respirator to protect yourself from airborne pathogens.
Washing your hands is fine, but it does nothing to prevent the spread of airborne illnesses like covid and flu.
Wear a mask (N95 or better).
Flu also spreads from surfaces, per Mayo Clinic which suggests hand washing to also reduce the chance of infection.

I guzzled hot cardamom tea. IDK if it "did" anything to make me feel better, but it was a lovely addition to the mix of liquids and fluids.
