I know this question could be better if asked when the lineup drops, but I am just curious if anyone feels this way despite not knowing what the lineup looks like. I had to opt for resale tickets last year because everything sold out within the hour. I would assume that unless the lineup is unbelievably bad (which feels kinda impossible), it will be the same if not harder to get tickets the day they go on sale. The festival is only trending upward in terms of popularity. But I do wanna hear other people's thoughts!
Tough to say. I think Olivia and Sabrina had a lot to do with the instant sellout. I am pretty worried about it though.
I really wish they would offer a ticket-buying window before the lineup was released. I don’t care if it’s the same price, just give the diehards a chance to guarantee a ticket.
*also make them non transferable or have to $3ll(avoiding the mod bot searching for that word) at face on Verified Exchange. Granted I know TM will laugh at that.
I 100% agree with the face value exchange. I paid 797 re for mine last year. Granted, I don't regret it because I had the time of my life, but I would've loved to get them at their original price.
I had to pay 120 over face but like you in the end it was worth it.
Not sure how they could ever make wristbands non-transferrable.
And if you make them face value only on the exchange, that just chases off the platform to riskier options and more people will end up getting scammed.
I feel like they should do what some other fests do where they let the attendees from the previous year buy tickets first before they go on sale to the rest of the general public. It's not foolproof but it allows those who actually go for the festival itself to secure tickets before the people buying tickets for 1 or 2 artists snatch them all up.
That doesn't really make it "fair" to those who have never gone but want to go, I actually really dislike that idea. If anything, do a coupon for return attendees. The idea of people wanting to go for the first time but their chance getting snatched away by people who have gone before is horrendous. The res3ll on that would be crazy. Some people want to go to support their favorites. It's a music festival, people go for the artists that change every year.
The main reason it was harder was because the Dual booking of Olivia and Sabrina. It doesn’t look like that’s happening this year(Lorde isn’t on either of their levels), so it probably won’t be day of
Don’t forget Twice. They were a big reason too.
Yea them 2
Olivia and Sabrina definitely were the reason why 2025 sold out so fast, but I think it could happen again with Lorde + other great headliners. It might not be the same exact demo of people buying them up, but rather just a different, equally massive demo.
last year a lot of people on this sub were saying it would be the worst selling year ever… it is always hard to tell if it’ll be an instant sellout, but if you’re really interested in going regardless of lineup, i would highly suggest getting tickets the moment they drop
I figured out a while ago that I have no idea if sales will be strong or not in a given year.
I do miss the days of being able to pick up a 4 day for $250 the week of the fest though.
That's insane bc there's no way coming off of a year like 2024 they thought that LMAO.
a lot of the ppl here are definitely not pop centric so i can kinda see why theyd think that… but still last years lineup was just insane
Couldn’t be harder than last year, surely
If they get Harry or Gaga- then yeah it’ll sell out really fast. But if there’s no heavy hitting pop star aside from Lorde- really doubt it. I think we will be fine this year.
Lorde is not heavy hitting. I think Tate McRae would also sell out fast too
I’m saying if she’s the only one, then I don’t see it selling fast. But it’ll still sell out for sure.
Think so?
I don’t even know how that would be possible. I don’t think some people realize how hard it was to get tickets to Olivia’s tour (and I’m sure Sabrina too). I had everybody I know sign up for presale and not a single person got in, everybody I know had the same issue. She could’ve sold multiple nights at stadiums with the amount of demand.
I couldn’t get tickets to Olivia at all, and the only reason I could get tickets to Sabrina is because I have a friend who arranged a suite.
no way it’s worse than last year
2025 lineup brought so many people out of town. I was so surprised to see all the TikTok’s of people missing their flight. The rumored lineup is Addison Rae, Lorde, Tame Impala, Olivia Dean, and more. Decent lineup but no where as crazy as last year. I don’t think as many people will take the risk flying in this year
I was soo bummed because tickets sold out so quick last year. I wasn’t able to go last year. I should have known they were going to sell out fast. Compared to previous years it was the fastest tickets sold out. I’m sure they will sell out fast again this year too.
Up until 2018 the fest would sell out in the 1st few hours even before releasing the lineup. Would normally take the morning off of work the day of the release and set up a command center with ipad, phone, and laptop an hope to be released from the waiting lobby. The past 6 years has been alot easier but i have also done platinum tickets so those dont go fast unless there is a bug Kpop act.
I got the 4 day vip last year and it was pretty easy as long as u got into the window. I know a lot of ppl outside Grant park were selling daily wristbands for like 200$
It won’t be easier.
what makes u say that?
Mostly the way it sold out so fast last year, many will be pulling the trigger just as fast this goaround.
fair point, i hope you’re wrong though haha
Yes. I’m going from nyc to
