I‘be been looking through all the predicted top 8s so far, and I can’t see a number 1 artist. I dig Charli and Tame, but I just don’t think they’re on the level of Olivia last year, or Metallica in 22, or Kendrick in 23. And I dont think it’s gonna be someone massive either, Gaga with no Chicago show on the second leg is sus but I can’t really see it, I don’t think we end up with Harry on a comeback, I was gonna think Bruno but the past 2 days put an end to that idea.
So who could it be? Unless were stuck with Tame as our #1
When I saw gaga's Mayhem tour at United, she referenced Lolla 2007 subtly and kept mentioning how much she loved the City. It gave me the vibes that she was gonna come back for Lolla this year or even next for a 20 year since her iconic performance
U serious. If so this kinda changes a lot
summer boy!!! she kinda hinted at it
Hmm. With this and no Chicago show but she’s going back to cities she just did(NY, Miami), I feel better abt her
me too! i would honestly bet money on it that shes a headliner
She’s going back to the cities because she’s making up for shows canceled from the last leg :/
She only postponed Miami?
Oh that’s right. So just LA is a revisit?
god I want it to be her so bad
Didn’t she say “see you soon Chicago” or something like that? I didn’t think she actually said Lolla
I think Gaga or Harry. One of these years Lolla will get Harry, and I don’t think Gaga is doing any festing in 2026.
So for now I’m saying Harry, because it’s on brand for Lolla, he covers so many demos, and I could just see Lolla getting him exclusive like they did with Sabrina. Undercard might take a little hit but I can see it- Lolla has money.
Harry hasn’t released anything in 4 years. Why would he headline Lolla?
Because he’s releasing new music in 2026 and would make sense at Lolla.
Keep dreaming buddy
Don’t have to. It will happen.
lol I wish Foo had no Chicago date so it could just have been them
Nah give me someone else. Tired of the same ol same ol.
I mean Harry or Gaga might be too big
That’s the thing though, once Lolla is booking big pop stars like Sabrina and Olivia: they’ll have to keep up that trajectory. Which is why I think they’ll keep swinging for the biggest pop stars each year!
Harry alongside any solid top 4 is selling out 100%.
Hmm, tbh Olivia and Harry have about the same amount of hits, and I know she sold out stadiums overseas, which is what he did as well. So maybe your idea for Harry isn’t that weird
Larry Stylinson confirmed
My crazy theory is that Lollapalooza will get BTS at the #1 spot.
BTS have announced that there will be a new album and world tour for 2026 and this will be their first year since 2022 that all their members will be done with their mandatory military service. Lolla was the first American festival to introduce K-Pop headliners to the mainstream and they have a relationship with J-Hope previously headlining.
God I hope not, it’s going to be hell trying to get tickets if this is the case.
They’re almost certainly playing Soldier Field on their tour so I doubt it. I could see them for next year though.
It’s already announced, 2 nights at Soldier Field in August.
Isn’t there a rule if they play Lolla they can’t have any other concerts in Chicago that year? I can’t see them passing over 3 days at Soldier Field for it.
I reallyyyy hope not tbh 🥲 im a huge fan and would prefer them to have their own concert here sorry 😭
Yk what, I could see it. The history is there, I feel like we could be closer to a top line k Pop headliner.
Could see a lineup like
BTS-Tame-Cole-Lorde
Stapleton-Keem-Kali-John Summit
I think Lolla would get Blackpink before BTS: BTS might be too big.
They are playing Soldier Field in August, no way BTS does Lolla
My post was made 3 days ago. They announced the Soldier Field shows this morning.
Obviously BTS aren’t playing Lollapalooza now, but I was on the right track considering they’ll be in Chicago only 3 weeks after Lollapalooza.
Maybe they’ll play Lollapalooza on a second leg tour like Blink 182 (2024) and Olivia Rodrigo (2025) did for their respective tours. With that in mind, Lady Gaga seems even more plausible now for 2026 considering she’s on the second leg of her tour.
From what I'm hearing Bad Bunny is top 8 but don't know if that's #1 for most.
Bad Bunny isn’t playing the US in 2026, except for the Super Bowl. He’s said this a bunch already.
Bad Bunny is the biggest artist in the world. He would def be our #1
I agree Bad Bunny would be #1
He’d be the biggest peak for an artist Lolla has booked. No way he wouldn’t be the 1
Oh god, as someone who lives here, if they book Bad Bunny this city is going to go apeshit lol. And also I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near it even tho I luv bad bunny
I live here too. The chaos would be glorious
Chicago shows out hard for Suenos this would be like 10x that.
Thanks, that's great news.
Did you get news he’s playing?
Like everyone else you hear things. From the Super Bowl to Lolla why not.
He’s got a bunch of shows in Europe like the week before Lolla. Would he really do a 1 off US show
Looks like his tour ends 7-22 so Lolla is in play.
Chumbawamba
Harry would never play lolla
Tell other ppl that lol
twenty one pilots
lorde
I think you’re underestimating Charli a little. But I say Doja or SZA I think either could be the #1
Doja Cat is playing Chicago on Oct 3rd and SZA headlined in 2024. Both are very unlikely in 2026.
SZA was just here and was already the 1 in 2024, Doja has a show in October so idk
What does her show in October have to do with Lolla? Is there an unspoken rule or something?
3 months before and 3 months after, they aren’t allowed to play another show in chicago
There’s a radius clause barring them from performing in the city before and after the festival
Lol

My theory is BlackPink. They have an album dropping and have never played Lolla. If they were booked they’d be an easy top bill imo.
My question is that if they’re getting back together, then why is Jennie doing festivals solo?
It was planned, 3 of the members took a break for solo albums and work. They still toured in 2025 as a group. They’re highly active I don’t see a group show being an issue. It may even make sense since there was a world tour last year as a group to just do a couple festivals.
