I loved the 5.99 box but it's gone at my location now. I have been doing the discovery luxe box instead for 9.00 and this just made me irritated. I was going to try the cheesy dipping burritos this was because it's a few dollars more for the box versus just the burritos but nah. So sad to see how there literally an upcharge for every little thing now and the prices are through the roof. I remember when two people could eat food at Taco Bell for like 12 bucks now that's just one person! Anyways, I'll still keep enjoying my Taco Bell but be mad about it. 😂 I also want to add I'm not posting to whine even though it sounds like it. I know everything is more expensive (but things are definitely going down in price overall) and people have to make money it just sucks that they are charging this much for some chips and cheese!

same. use to be 50 cent upcharge
*EDIT* at the taco bell I always go to seems the $9 dollar box is a 1 dollar upcharge for chips, but the luxe cravings box still 50 cents.
It was never an upcharge at my store ðŸ˜
Yep. Never an upcharge before at my local spots and, to me, not worth the $1.30 extra. I just went with double stacks.
It’s not worth the upcharge and twists have zero value to me.
Mine is still a no charge, hope it stays that way especially through contact volcano time.
Please don't contact volcanoesÂ
Agreed, it's ridiculous
Yeah it's ludicrous to charge that much for a small bag of chips. I just buy chips and cheese at the grocery store now.
Fuck all yall. Mine is a $2 upcharge for chips and cheese.
STOP BUYING. BOYCOTT A MONTH. Managers and owners just see profit going up if they charge you more and more. If their sales numbers go down 10-15% they’ll try and find ways to get you back. Look at McDonald’s with how they raised their prices. Corporate didn’t know why. They launched the $5 meal a year ago and all of a sudden the money is rolling in again.
THE $7 LUX BOX WAS BARELY A DEAL AT ALL. Whoever is crazy enough to pay $10+ for a Taco Bell box meal and pay the $1.30 upcharge for 5 tortilla chips instead of the cinnamon twists. YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELVES.
I was just doing my "every other week when I imagine buying the Bell because I'm drunk and decide to be more responsible" thing and I was genuinely just thinking That I'd rather they just give me the option to remove the Twists even if it doesn't cost any less. The chips or twists have always been an item that I shrug at and take three bored bites out of and go to the trash but if the only choice without a markup is the cinnamon twists, I'd rather just pay the same and get nothing than have the food and labour wasteÂ
yeah, we're truly in the nickel and dime era for tb. my store used to not upcharge either as long as it was one of the allowed things. it's just part of the wider trend that's been happening for a while where the value proposition just continues to go out the window.
Scroll to the bottom of the combo tab, for some reason they hide the supreme luxe box down there and it's a much better value than even the BYOB at this point unless you really insist upon having a crunch wrap or quesadilla. If you're getting a chaluoa anyways it's the same price in many stores as the BYOB but it comes with an extra taco. Also requires I get chips instead of potatoes but I can deal with that
And yet everybody continues going multiple times a week. 🥱Â
