As with every other type of store out there, it would depend on different factors, like location and whether the station is independent or part of a franchise. Realistically, it could take 5 to 10+ years to recoup the initial investment, purely based on where it is located. It will take longer if the station is a part of a franchise.

I know it's half-forbidden to utter his name in positive light here but pretty sure Starforge was fairly successful before OTK nose-dived all accross the board in the last year or so so I'd say Asmongold did run a fairly successful side business for a time.
Even though OTK is basically dead, their businesses Starforge and Mythic Talent do really well.
Idk if you could attribute that entirely to one streamer who was literally the most hands off co-owner. An entire organization with multiple co owners including Moist were involved. Plus the timing was great to plug the hole left behind when that starlord guy screwed up.

I don't know about that. Moist has done some pretty successful business moves in comics, music, merch. Oompaloompa has his candy business that does pretty well.

IIRC, she originally claimed it took her team 2 years to get these cookies "right" even though they were literally rebranded cookies that were readily available.
Now im not into cookie manufacturing, but the fact that they also had to add a sprinkle of pointless vitamin D probably didnt help either, since that means that you need to add an extra step to manufacturing, when not having to worry about manufacturing logistics is the biggest upside to rebranding an existing product.

I'm pretty sure it's the opposite where she fleeced the company. Lots of these merch stuff deals it's the company that approaches the influencer, offering them a sum of money to use them to sell a product, they're usually the ones taking the gamble.

We all know streaming is her job, its just that the way she presents herself is just so plastic and uninteresting that It's hard to genuinely like her content. Every streamer is doing their job, havent seen many that hides behind a persona as much as she does (albeit I dont really watch too many streamers, but among the ones I watch, nothing compares to what I see off her clips.).
That said, I think its just their job argument kinda falls apart for people in the entertaintment business. Personally I thought this product was one of the worst since it was a straight up white label product, they took an existing cookie and just remarketed it with Poki and with 2x-3x the price. Oh wait I guess they added vitamin D so now its a new cookie and worth the price markup /s.
And I know businesses white label products all the time but usually there's some unique design or branding thrown in when that happens. Like if you buy a Sykkuno shirt, ok its just a shirt but it has Sykkuno design or w/e. Or with basketball shoes, Nike basically has the same shoe and then just adds coloring and brand for the player so you can still say there is something unique about that shoe. Like the MJ 13 looks different from Kobe 5 even if they prob 95% the same shoe.
In this case Myna looked and tasted exactly like the old cookies and were made by the old company. Even if they say they changed part of the recipe and ingredient, they looked exactly alike and people who did the taste tests couldnt tell them apart. IIRC some people even got angry cuz now they couldnt buy the old cookies and now had to buy Poki's cookies which were more expensive for seemingly no reason.
From what I understand Poki said the Myna thing was a mistake and stepped away from the company so I wouldnt be surprised if this was discontinued. However IMO there is also a chance the original, much cheaper cookie was then brought back in circulation since this Myna rebrand collapsed.
