Same. Choosing to have children is supposed to mean that you shift your priorities to take care of your kids that didn't ask to be brought into this world. If all that matters to you is work, to the point that you just think you need to be more discreet about working while on PTO during one of the most important times of most children's years, you maybe shouldn't have kids.

I get where you’re coming from, but personally I would be more sad about actual kids who can’t even get a sliver of their dad’s attention without it being lauded over the whole LinkedIn. A grownup guy can be cringe all he wants (and this particular type of cringe would explain why there are no real kids who have done it).
You are correct. The "P" on STOP is a dead giveaway. The very particular way it does not meet is odd yet perfect. Maybe they were trying to make it look sloppy but failed miserably because they have good penmanship, it has a cursive style that is pretty much not taught anymore.
Came here to call this out specifically. They are basically admitting that they can only pretend to enjoy family time. I have a feeling we will get a “why my wife divorcing me and taking full custody was the best thing for my productivity” post soon.
If you aren't using KPIs in your personal/family life, you're falling behind bro. Your kids will never grow up to excel in SaaS or B2B sales and they'll never know how to grow their own brands either. /s
So this time last year I had just moved to take over a new branch and with in the first two weeks what I had thought was a "from the skillet, into the fire" turned into, "someone threw the enflamed skillet into the grease trap dumpster fire".
So long story short, the area manager at that time, who's worked out of the same building was forced to help me. It resulted in him having to interrupt his planned vacation of the weeks of Xmas and New Years by logging into his work laptop at home to work. The side effect of that was him kinda ignoring his wife and his 3 young children for multiple hours a day. When he would bring up the situation he was more aggravated at the people who quit/fired and his wife bugging him about working than he was about actually having to do the work.
He probably would have been working either way but the situation dictated that he had to and what he had to do rather than what he would have done which is treat it like social media just answering email, messing with excel, and making calls to get updates.
Dad your love KPIs need a lot of improvement, do you have time at 3pm for a quick 1 on 1 so I can pick your brain on how to maximize kid engagement for Q2? We may need to loop mom in for compliance
Omg I can imagine this being so much fun for a certain age of kid. I've seen it at Halloween, so I might watch out for it in the sales for my nibblings!
"Good news kiddos, this quarter I'm looking at a paradigm shift where I synergize my engagement with you, as long as all work priorities have been satisfied. Let's tag up on this later, Poppa has an all hands meeting in 5."
If I didn't know better "family engagement" would make me think it's satire. But I am sure it's not.
Honestly, a lot of them truly believe if they just "grind" enough and know all the correct phases one day they will be as rich as Elon.
The sad thing is a lot of them probably don't really the people above them they are trying to impress don't take the seriously and just seeing the grind mentally as a way to exploit clueless people.
Also it's like a humble brag because they think clients will see it and be like "what a go getter".
The thing a lot of them don't get is all their business heroes didn't get that why by posting repeatedly on social media and go on about how much they work.
But as I say the real business people love it because the whole grind culture is basically how can we get more for less from these people.
I have personal experience of something like this happening. My sister put kiss me I don’t smoke stickers on my dads brief case and work papers. Somehow she got into the locked briefcase to put those stickers on the papers. The papers that were for my dad’s airforce job. The papers that were secret.
But, that was what gave my dad the kick in the ass to stop smoking, so there was some positive to it.
But this did happen! It taught me that I need a divorce and that my kids are going to be nothing but an impediment to my B2B sales! I'm so happy they have shown me that cutting them off right now is the right thing to do for my Founders to thrive.
Had a tech lead join us last year. He does this performative bullshit and honestly he gets absolutely clowned on constantly by everyone on the team. Our whole company culture is super laid back and work life balance is a core value that the company actually holds up, so he looks like a psychopath in comparison to the rest of the employees.
He was off today for the holidays but came in to lead a meeting he 100% could have delegated. We think he might just hate his family and life outside of work. Sad, but still soo pathetic.
Who else can’t have PTO with their family as they have to fit the schedule of calls this guy can make and still enjoy his?
If you’re on PTO stay offline and let those still working organise their own work; appearing online randomly to “help” is just an annoyance to anyone that couldn’t get the time off
I used to be a workaholic, was putting like 12-15 hours daily, even working weekends, 5 years ago my wife told me she is pregnant, i haven’t worked more than 6 ish hours in a day ever since.
Family comes first, what good are money if you got no one to share it with?
Last 3 years with my boy have been the best of my life, i got to teach him how to ride a bike; how to swim, i listen to his stories and chase him around. The world is a magical place when you see it even a bit through your children’s eyes.
I wouldn’t go back to working crazy hours even if they’d make me Musk rich
It's all a big circle jerk on linkedin. Everyone knows everyone else's story is fake but they go along with it so they themselves can keep posting fake stories. If someone breaks the chain, the whole community goes down with it. it's also delusion where they begin to believe their own fake stories.
I am not sure which idea is worse, his kids actually writing all of this missing their father so badly and knowing how much he works even on PTO, or the possibility that they didn't do it because they are so used to their father caring more about work then them or maybe even the possibility that they think this is normal or something to aspire to.
Nobody misses this guy, not his kids and not the people who couldn’t use their PTO because he insists on using his to “engage” in endless self-promotion.
Really hoping this is made up. At least then it's just your run of the mill cringe worthy LinkedIn nonsense. The alternative is his kids really did do this because they're so desperate to get some time with their work obsessed parent. And that would be quite sad.
This guy is a genuinely bad person if he has to be taught to put his own family first from time to time. This one is particularly gross and sad, among a lot of the lunatic crap in this community.
When I was a kid, we’d drive by the golf course on Sunday on the way to church and pancakes after (and then the park). More my mom’s idea. In any case, one time driving by my father commented on the parking lot, “ohh look, the ‘father of the year contest’ has started.”
yea, it's always a fake humble brag about how they work so much. It's just advertising to their clients. I wouldn't honestly be surprised if a lot of them send one email an hour then class that whole hour as work so they can brag about doing 70 hour weeks honestly.
I like to make a lot of money and not ignore my family. What's the point of working or having a family if they have to beg you for time? I actually feel bad for this dude's kids, they're trying to tell him.
I really hope this is fake.
And to all the parents who HAVE TO work all the time, I'm so sorry, and I hope that times will get easier.
As a kid to parents who had to work a lot due to financial stuff, this hurts.
My mom worked daytime, including 3 weekends per month. My dad worked night shifts as a nurse, to be able to pick me and my sister up from school at a reasonable time. My mom worked almost every christmas at day, and my dad worked almost every christmas night. We got a few hours together as a family.
I get really frustrated when I see parents choosing work before their kids when they have the opportunity to choose.
It's not quirky, it's not cool, it's not strong. It's f*cking stupid, and you will never get your kid's childhood back.
I love the "showing" family engagement. He doesn't mean he'll actually BE engaged with his family, he'll just show that he is while he's thinking about work.
And of course he'll put family first "from time to time."
I’ve been sitting in the cardio ICU since Friday waiting to find out what is going to happen with my dad. Spend time with family and friends while you can. Time is the thing you can never get back.
"From time to time" disgusting. Thank you for showing me even if these people who just sit in meetings in their house all day live in a bigger place than I do, they are not rich in their hearts and souls. I may be struggling being the primary income in my home but thank god my wife doesnt have to put signs up around the house to remind me to spend time with my family
Another dickhead with a “view my services” link posting absolute tripe to farm engagement. It’s so obvious, but painfully just a sign of modern desperation to make money.
This just reminded me that my dad used to do this shit all the time. We went overseas once back in the early 00s, and he brought an international cellphone with him to take work calls.
Man was and most likely still has his ear glued to his phone.
The sadder thing is I know folks like this. Their kids wouldn't dare do something like that though... You don't get cute boundaries from kids whose parents don't have work boundaries for themselves. You have kids wishing they could talk to their parents or they'd put down the phone or whatever.
Whether it’s real or made up, why would you post this? You’re admitting to the world that you’re a terrible father. I can’t possibly trust anyone in business who is incapable of reading a room and posting something so professionally damaging to their image; from a personal perspective, I’d just dislike him for being a bad father, fake post or not.
I'm literally the only person working on my team in Europe right now and yesterday at 5pm my manager from New York wanted to know why I didn't attend his meeting at 5pm.
I just told him that my son is out of school and I'm only going to work 8am to 5pm so I can take him outside of the house at 5pm to play.
Must be a manager thing to try and force a useless meeting after hours when the rest of the team is out just to see if you're still working.
These people do actually exist unfortunately. They were the main reason I ended up leaving the Army.
Even when I was on leave/weekends/after hours, I'd be constantly hassled via WhatsApp/Signal. It was without fail for trivial shit that could easily wait until I'm next in. The best one was coming out of the sea after a boarding session to 7 missed calls. Again, it was for a trivial matter that could have easily waited until I was next in, but someone had to make themselves feel important.
Honestly, these losers have no life outside of their jobs and demand the same of everyone they work with. Fuck them.

I always wonder how companies think it's a good idea to try to compete with the big brands out there. IMDB exists and then RottenTomatoes becomes a thing. And then LetterBoxd.
LinkedIn is just horrifying these days. I would have thought LinkedIn was going to be the business/resume site for a long time. Now I can't wait for the competition to take over.
If you need to work weeks before your even meant to work just to keep up. That's not a sign of excellence, it's a sign of struggling to keep your head above water

Not surprising for a company where the owner encouraged his salespeople to pitch to their families during holiday dinners in the past. Said company has also been sued multiple times for not paying overtime.
ETA: for anyone familiar with this company, they know the enormous amounts of kool-aid they shove down the throats of their workers while paying below market wages.
“To put family first from time to time” is that line that really gets me. You’re gross, dude.
That stuck with me too. If you need to be reminded to pay attention to your family, you shouldn't have a family.
It's important to prioritize family time. That's why I block off Sunday afternoons in my schedule once every two weeks. - some CEO.
So the maid can take the kids for ice cream so I can get some more work done
Alternatively, 'that's why I work remote and block my calendar before 10am' meanwhile their workers are expected to be in the office every day 8-6
I read this somewhere and it's stuck with me since:
Your child will remember that you missed their school play/sports game/graduation
But YOU won't remember what was so important that you had to work overtime.
Putting work before family is a fate worse than death, this guys kids are gonna send him to die alone in a care facility and he will never know why
And your job will certainly NOT remember or care that you missed a family even to work overtime.
The "from time to time" goes to show he could easily lose them all and it wouldn't affect him almost at all
That’s a punch that got me hard. Dude wtf are you working and living for?
Shareholders' value.
Came here to say the same. As a parent, that line killed me. Imagine his kids seeing this post, especially when they can comprehend the meaning of it.
Cant wait for him to fail and his wife and kids leave him like it’s never been done before(NBDB)
He's on PTO. This is that time!
That whole sentence is a creepy abomination

“family engagement” jesus christ. poor kids.
EDIT though i must admit, on closer inspection the handwriting doesn’t look like kids have done it at all.
Dunno what’s worse, an adult making all that for LinkedIn engagement or forcing their kids to.
What being a shitty dad taught me about B2B sales
Those also look like closet doors, not a door into a home office lol
It honestly looks like a supply closet in a shitty office building to me
Exactly. No kid made that "Stop Alarm" sign. This is even sadder than if the guy did have kids who didn't want him to work as much.
I get where you’re coming from, but personally I would be more sad about actual kids who can’t even get a sliver of their dad’s attention without it being lauded over the whole LinkedIn. A grownup guy can be cringe all he wants (and this particular type of cringe would explain why there are no real kids who have done it).
He's single and childless.
You are correct. The "P" on STOP is a dead giveaway. The very particular way it does not meet is odd yet perfect. Maybe they were trying to make it look sloppy but failed miserably because they have good penmanship, it has a cursive style that is pretty much not taught anymore.
And the R in alarm too
For me the M is the biggest giveaway here, just wayyyy too fluid of a motion to be a child
I could maybe see a teenager making it.
I think a teenager would have spent more time to make the sign look good. That sign definitely looks like an adult dashed it off.
Having been a teenager once and know the level of drawing and commitment I had... This is pretty much what I could conjure
Not even actual family engagement, but “showing” family engagement. Gotta try to keep the illusion going…
Came here to call this out specifically. They are basically admitting that they can only pretend to enjoy family time. I have a feeling we will get a “why my wife divorcing me and taking full custody was the best thing for my productivity” post soon.

It's because mom had, "STOP OR WE DIVORCE" up there originally but it got replaced for the photo op
Yeah I’d imagine, if it wasn’t him, then it was the mom helping the children out to do it and it was 100% the moms idea passing it off as the kids
Dad your love KPIs need a lot of improvement, do you have time at 3pm for a quick 1 on 1 so I can pick your brain on how to maximize kid engagement for Q2? We may need to loop mom in for compliance
Especially the way Alarm is written. The R is a giveaway.
"put family first...from time to time".
JFC, those poor kids.
That’s the line that stood out to me too.
Also sneaking around to do work in the background isn't putting family first to begin with.
Ah yes, classic kid handwriting: Times New Roman edition
And where did small children get caution tape?
I give my kids rolls of caution about once a year lol. Lots of stuff in my house is randomly blocked off for a while and then they run out.
Omg I can imagine this being so much fun for a certain age of kid. I've seen it at Halloween, so I might watch out for it in the sales for my nibblings!
You should! My kids are 2, 4, and 6 and they are obsessed. It’s a very cheap and satisfying gift.
Thanks so much!
Any fancier stationery store. My grandma has one closer to her house than a proper supermarket lol
"You are my daughter, and it is Christmas so I am going to reward you with 30 seconds of uninterrupted eye contact."
"Good news kiddos, this quarter I'm looking at a paradigm shift where I synergize my engagement with you, as long as all work priorities have been satisfied. Let's tag up on this later, Poppa has an all hands meeting in 5."
You are assuming his kids are small. They could be teenagers.
"And that's what I really took away from F2F strategy..."
Does she even have kids? And if she does, I hope the kids are living with the other parent
"Put family first from time to time"
I feel sad for anyone's kids if they don't out family first all the time .
From time to time.
Did you write with the wrong hand or something until you turned 15?
No no… it’s not family engagement… it’s only showing family engagement.
For real, what is wrong with these people?
On this episode of events that definitely didn’t happen…
Seriously. LinkedIn has gone to shit. We need a new (actual) professional network.
Are there any competitors at all to linked in?
Xing is pretty big in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Don't know how popular they are outside of those countries.
There’s fishbowl but it’s not really the same kind of social media. It’s more anonymous (for now, at least).
Seems like there's a pretty big missed opportunity here... Anyone want to be my partner?
I imagine getting a new social media network to gain traction is really really tough
Yeah, the Stop Alarm is definelty not children handwriting lol.
"HOW DO I JERK MYSELF OFF FOR BEING AN INNOVATOR AND HAVING THAT "GRINDSET" WHILE ALSO MAKING IT SEEM LIKE IM A LOVING FATHER????"
Is it really possible to feel so miserable that you need to make up a story like that for LinkedIn?
Who else can’t have PTO with their family as they have to fit the schedule of calls this guy can make and still enjoy his?
If you’re on PTO stay offline and let those still working organise their own work; appearing online randomly to “help” is just an annoyance to anyone that couldn’t get the time off
I don’t think he knows what PTO means…and to be fair there are a lot of people that I know that don’t either.
When I use to work an go on vacation I wouldn’t even open my emails or chat apps to know what was happening. I’ll see you when I’m back from vacation.
Nothing says love like “showing” family engagement
“Uh huh. Uh huh. Wow. Wild. Huh? Uh huh.”
“From time to time”, so never for the grind. This is why I’m happy to live in a country that clocks out at 17:00, no matter what the job is.
" I am programmed for designated family tasks when needed"
Who the fuck calls it family engagement?? That sounds.... Dystopian
Sometimes I am really happy that I am an unambitious failure.
I used to be a workaholic, was putting like 12-15 hours daily, even working weekends, 5 years ago my wife told me she is pregnant, i haven’t worked more than 6 ish hours in a day ever since.

This guy’s family will forget he existed before too long.
Really really sad. Fucking grindbros, man.
I like the term grindbros. That’s what most lunatics on LinkedIn have in common.
Fake as fuck
Luckly
Imagine this person creating this fiction and expecting people to believe it. Pathetic.
It's all a big circle jerk on linkedin. Everyone knows everyone else's story is fake but they go along with it so they themselves can keep posting fake stories. If someone breaks the chain, the whole community goes down with it. it's also delusion where they begin to believe their own fake stories.
Family first...from time to time?
Not all the time?
Someone's about to get visited by some ghosts
Holy shit
Try to SHOW "family engagement"
Putting family first "from time to time"
Working during paid time off...
I am not sure which idea is worse, his kids actually writing all of this missing their father so badly and knowing how much he works even on PTO, or the possibility that they didn't do it because they are so used to their father caring more about work then them or maybe even the possibility that they think this is normal or something to aspire to.

"Put family first from time to time."
How dystopian that the job that you are supposed to work to provide for your family has now become the priority over them.
Even if this were real, I’d never do business with someone who’s own children are that desperate for their fathers attention.
Not the NBDBs…
Yea their title is a complete joke also. This person is useless.
How sad that despite this plea he’s compelled to work. He’s obsessed.
This guy is a genuinely bad person if he has to be taught to put his own family first from time to time. This one is particularly gross and sad, among a lot of the lunatic crap in this community.
There are a few comments on his LinkedIn post pointing out how sad and twisted this is. One even references this Reddit post.
BRB I'm gonna go hug my wife and kid.
When I was a kid, we’d drive by the golf course on Sunday on the way to church and pancakes after (and then the park). More my mom’s idea. In any case, one time driving by my father commented on the parking lot, “ohh look, the ‘father of the year contest’ has started.”
Just a complete side note re: your username, my brother and I refer to each other as Nick Papagiorgio from time to time. From Yuma, AZ of course.
These posts are always from douchey marketing/sales consultants lol.
yea, it's always a fake humble brag about how they work so much. It's just advertising to their clients. I wouldn't honestly be surprised if a lot of them send one email an hour then class that whole hour as work so they can brag about doing 70 hour weeks honestly.
from time to time
I like to make a lot of money and not ignore my family. What's the point of working or having a family if they have to beg you for time? I actually feel bad for this dude's kids, they're trying to tell him.
Absolutely pathetic
He made this himself, the saddest thing is that his kids don't care enough to be bothered to make up a sign like that.
I really hope this is fake. And to all the parents who HAVE TO work all the time, I'm so sorry, and I hope that times will get easier.

This was likely faked by him. Fucking sad.
How is it that none of these people have real job titles?
Also, how do these people not understand that LinkedIn isn't Facebook?
Also, how do these people not know how cringe this shit is?
Putting family first from time to time is psychotic.
Is it more sad, or less sad, if he did it himself just for LinkedIn?
"put family first from time to time". Dad of the year material.
From time to time? Wtf dude
“Family engagement.” Way to sound like a douche.
“To put family first…from time to time…”
How tragic.
Adult handwriting. Adult doing this for attention. Weird.
Why don’t they just put a meeting on his Outlook calendar? You know it’s updated.
This is just sad, assuming his kids actually did that and he didn’t do it himself for the post (if it’s the latter bro is a psychopath)
I’ve been sitting in the cardio ICU since Friday waiting to find out what is going to happen with my dad. Spend time with family and friends while you can. Time is the thing you can never get back.
Ah yes, the last Christmas before the divorce. It’s nice of him to take these pictures so the kids can show them to their future therapists.
Family first ... from time to time 🤮
What a sad, sorry sack of shit.
Also, this didn't happen.
Great idea to break from all that NBDB work to fart this out onto LI.
What a dead beat dad. Real sad
“To put family first from time to time.” What an asshole.
Pretending to be a shitty father, while probably actually being a shitty father but not for the reasons he thinks, is wild.
I want to think this is stupid engagement bait I just don’t want to believe there are people like that IRL.
Your children are better than you.
Family first “from time to time”
"From time to time" disgusting. Thank you for showing me even if these people who just sit in meetings in their house all day live in a bigger place than I do, they are not rich in their hearts and souls. Man was and most likely still has his ear glued to his phone.
This man's children cannot possibly like him enough to do this.
Thanks for showing my kids how to have me put family first - from time to time. What a 💩
Work so you can afford a family.
One you'll never get to see grow because you're always working.
That is not kid writing. 💯. I have small kids. They write and draw like shit. He did this, and you know it.
“From time to time”….do you even like your family??
If I'm on PTO, I'm not doing any work. If the boss needs me to do anything, then it can wait until I'm back.
From time to time? No kid wrote this sign
This is why I deleted my account.
Lol. "NBDB creative work"......ok bro.
Wow there are layers of sad here. Good therapists are off on their yachts right now because of stuff like this
So hes on Paid Time Off. You're off dude. Stay offline.
It really sounds like your family are better off dude. You crack on with your "important meetings".
The sadder thing is I know folks like this. Their kids wouldn't dare do something like that though... You don't get cute boundaries from kids whose parents don't have work boundaries for themselves. You have kids wishing they could talk to their parents or they'd put down the phone or whatever.
A quote a great boss of mine once relayed to me “the only people that will remember you worked late are your kids.”
You actually think this one has kids? That its allowed in the same space as?
time to time
Whether it’s real or made up, why would you post this? You’re admitting to the world that you’re a terrible father. I can’t possibly trust anyone in business who is incapable of reading a room and posting something so professionally damaging to their image; from a personal perspective, I’d just dislike him for being a bad father, fake post or not.
Family first — but only from time to time. 🤦♀️
Family first.. "...from time to time..." yikes
As the closing notes of Cat's Cradle can be heard, fading away...
Put family first “from time to time”? Um, family comes first ALWAYS.
Family engagement? I need to see your KPIs as a parent, they must awful .
PTO while working isn’t PTO
Kids: Dad we want more time with you.
Dad: ok cool, just going to post on LinkedIn.
As a parent, if my child everything does this I will resign immediately from my job. Wtf who are these people and why are they allowed to procreate?!?
These people do actually exist unfortunately. They were the main reason I ended up leaving the Army.
Even when I was on leave/weekends/after hours, I'd be constantly hassled via WhatsApp/Signal. It was without fail for trivial shit that could easily wait until I'm next in. The best one was coming out of the sea after a boarding session to 7 missed calls. Again, it was for a trivial matter that could have easily waited until I was next in, but someone had to make themselves feel important.
Honestly, these losers have no life outside of their jobs and demand the same of everyone they work with. Fuck them.
This is so incredibly sad, this man disgusts me and so does his employer
Brainwashed servant, holy shit that’s depressing...
So sad.
Gross. Not the flex he thinks this is.
Sneaking away to drink = Alcoholism Sneaking away to work = Grind?
Yikes
How do these people enjoy corporate office work so much? Is their favorite restaurant Olive Garden?
(NBDB) lol
That shit eating pfp
Put family first........from time to time (fart noise)
When your kids become your PTO managers-brutal but fair
Where did the kids get Caution tape lmfao
(probably from over the top Halloween decorations, hopefully)

That’s sad in many ways. Maybe the biggest is talking about spending time with family like a task at work.
Actually - I don't think the kids give a shit. He did it on his own for clout and to make feel special on the Internet
NBDB...oh jesus creatives are insufferable sometimes.
I’m confused. Is he working or on PTO?
LOL bless his little heart
Why have kids if this is how you act
I always wonder how companies think it's a good idea to try to compete with the big brands out there. IMDB exists and then RottenTomatoes becomes a thing. And then LetterBoxd.
LinkedIn is just horrifying these days. I would have thought LinkedIn was going to be the business/resume site for a long time. Now I can't wait for the competition to take over.
Omg
I checked him on IG and he is geh
If you need to work weeks before your even meant to work just to keep up. That's not a sign of excellence, it's a sign of struggling to keep your head above water
His profile photo irks me
So gross… NBDB??? I try to do things that have NBDB from T2T.
From “time to time” 😂
Harry Chapin intensifies
What does he do?
“I Share How Brands, Marketing & Creative…”
What’s a How Brand?

Sad that any kid would have to make a sign like this. Neglect isn’t a flex.
