At the very least, they're advocating for stronger worker pay. Especially with most companies severely undercutting pay everywhere they can, it helps to treat workers better.
Annually, that comes to around $25k or sth if adjusted for purchasing power. Still incredibly low but I have seen people in the US make that much. It's enough to survive, not enough to enjoy pretty much anything.
