Guy probably bragging it was a blessing for his work. He set up a workstation in the hospital had no distractions from family and friends and powered through. Got more done in a day in the hospital than 3 days in the office.
Average Sauna in Finland is between 185 to 212, some go higher
If you drink you can do that for an hour straight but that’s just idiotic in general.
Then again enduring self-caused pain and suffering for no gain whatsoever (and telling everyone else what b2b lessons they learned from it somehow) is pretty much LinkedIn in a nutshell.
At the South Pole research base, they have a tradition called the "300 Club." They spend ten minutes in a 200F sauna, and then run outside to the ceremonial South Pole and back clad only in boots while it's -100F outside.
Nobody's died yet, but apparently there's an awful lot of people coughing their lungs inside out for a week or two afterwards. (Young, bored, and living in a 24-hour night can make people do pretty silly things.)
This is just the worst. Sometimes people will say "how do you handle the heat" in a sauna. The acceptable responses are a non verbal shrug or a or I like it or maybe a quick joking brag that's just how I'm built!. It's not an invitation to give a fucking TED talk.
Everything is an invitation to give a TED talk to guys like this. $10 says this interaction didn’t even happen and he just concocted it as an excuse to make this low effort post.

lol if someone thinks a sauna is hard, they must have an easy life. Saunas are relaxing. An hour? Okay. Good for him. Next person will be posting tha only losers will have enough time to spend an hour in the sauna.
This guy gained experience from sitting in his car during the summer trying to finish his work to flee his business. Gained tolerance to heat.. he sits in the suave has a reminder of how life has failed him and th only love he really has every know was from an open window. No mindset will help when your brain shuts off from a heat stroke..
All he's saying is he'd rather sit in a hotbox with other naked men and he doesn't want to leave, ever. He's clearly spent a lot of time thinking about it too. Strange hobby.
His next post:
"What 2 weeks in hospital for heat exhaustion taught me about being a better CEO"

Shipping pure alpha from ICU
Right? 60 minutes in a sauna isn't healthy. It doesn't impress me - it makes me think he's an idiot without any common sense.
“What having a patient with malignant hyperpyrexia taught my doctors about B2B sales”
Guess the next lesson is embrace the IV fluids mindset
After that the intubation mindset lol
185 degrees is an entry level sauna, but 1 hour without a break is not healthy
Health is for the pussies and the weak ok?!

That definitely sounds like something I would do on a dare but also sounds HORRIBLE
How'd you find out about that?
I think it was discussed in a recent episode of the "Lateral" podcast.
The one with Tom Scott, the comedian? I'm eager to listen to it. It sounds like a fun fact.
I wouldn't have described Tom Scott as a comedian, but yes.
Lots of longform articles are written about the South Pole overwinters, and it gets mentioned in most of them.
I was stationed at pole and am a member of the 300 club. Yes it burned my lungs and it hurt so badly lol.
I actually know someone who worked there and did that.

He was later found dead in a sauna.
But it wasn't the heat. It was the 42 stab wounds.
What is even the point of this

Man if you got to constantly brag about how you can handle the heat, it kind of makes me think that you’re trying to convince yourself more than me.
You don’t win any prizes for dehydrating yourself

That’s fucking dangerous.
At least he is in the sauna. Think how dangerous he would be outside of the sauna.
Ooh, sooo tough and virile! 🙄
“You have been in heat before” posted to his professional network under his government name I can’t
Man's on that heatstroke grindset. You plebians just aren't locked in enough to understand /s
Dammit, what happened to my "Blow it out your ass" reply button?
40 mins in, none of the engineers left
My mindset: entering the sauna like it’s a pizza oven challenge
Completely inefficient. I could do the same amount of sauna’ing in 1 hour. Improve your process. Work smarter.

Hydrate, OR???

That is very unhealthy.
Bring in the Finns. Who INVENTED sauna. All other sauna is inferior/wrong sauna. Love, an honorary Finn
Seriously, why do people post things like this
Heat shock protein’s bruh.

💯% buuuulshiiiit
It's true, I'm the gym employee who called the ambulance when we found him passed out from heatstroke
LIL seem to be wannabe David Blaines who think they will be able to "breath" underwater.
Anyone else's mind go to Arrested Development? 'George Bluths Sweat and Squeeze'
Introduce this guy to Wim Hoff for the entertainment.
These people have truly lost it 😭
My Finnish mum spends an hour in sauna every other day. She ain't training for anything or gaining mindset insights from the experience. 😂
This guy should google Sauna Timo to see what a real sauna mindset looks like.
I can just imagine the entire nation of Finland giving a collective headshake and judgmental look.
i don't know much about #business, but i do know a little about physiology.
this man is an idiot.
Christ, are people still really doing the whole "remember to hydrate" shit?
Only quadriplegics and cats forget to drink fluids. The rest of us are fine without the "remember not to die" advice.
So it’s
Everyone needs to stop cropping out the names.
Why cut off his name, I want to see who this legend is so I can worship the man who stays in the sauna a long time.
60mins in a sauna is just plain stupid. But then, these folks need AI to phrase even stuff like this. Intelligence is not their strongest quality
