Is it possible to install a dual boot of Windows 11 + Bazzite OS on a Lenovo Legion Go S without an external USB drive? I was talking to chatgpt and the jerk told me it could be done by installing a supposed Bazzite Windows installer, until I got to that part and he said he was wrong and the installer didn't exist. 😀

  • Yes it is. I’ve just done it. In a nutshell, it’s three steps: 1) prepare your drive so you have space. 2) install windows first (if you have it already installed it’s ok) leaving empty space in the drive for bazzite. If you have windows already installed you should shrink the partition to make space for bazzite. 3) install bazzite second. You should get a dual boot automatically but I’ve found that this process is a bit hit or miss. Sometimes it requires some thinkering. The external drive (I use an SD card) is useful because it’s possible to install games that you use from both OSs if you want to

  • The solution is to load Windows, start Edge web browser, go to amazon.com, then search for and order a 32gb USB 3.1 or 3.2 flash drive. You cannot install bazzite from inside Windows.

You need to download the iso from bazzite.gg, use Rufus to put it onto a usb flash drive, shrink your windows partition and boot the Go from the USB drive.
